By the way, I am no big fan of JT by any stretch, but this article seems to be delusional analysis by somebody who actually wants Sharia law. There is no obvious organized campaign by our government to enact Sharia law. Believe me, we are watching for any signs of it, but nothing really happening on that front. If there is, then the next election will remove this idiot from office.

I imagine you’d have better luck getting us to pay for it too. Tell you what though, this story sounds bogus to me, some random misguided remark maybe, but no organized plan, it would be electoral suicide (think Democrats running Sharia law as part of 2020 platform, subtract the usual 10% for more idiots up here, but 80-10 is still 70 against — for one thing, support for it in Quebec would be zero, the francophones know their Sharia law a lot better than clueless anglos who have never been exposed to it).
It would be the sort of crazy mistake that would see the Liberal Party torn into shreds, half of their members would instantly defect, and the vote would split both ways, we have a party to the left of them and they would not be very likely to support this notion.
Our globalist media might try to get behind such an idea but that would be the end of them too. I would not be looking for this sort of thing until at least 2040, incrementalism rules in those circles, and they don’t have the ground prepared. It’s our task to see they never do.

We are not under a nuclear umbrella, as I understand it, the U.S. would not respond in the unlikely event that some nuclear power attacked only us. If they attacked both countries, then obviously a response would be a foregone conclusion. This was already established in some other thread about NORAD. We are supposed to help detect the missiles but if they’re only coming for us, we’re on our own.
The reality is that nobody would waste good nukes on just Canada, I mean what’s the point? Supremacy over Tim Hortons? Control of the tundra?
