And Gary Condit probably also is thanking Al Queda. In Spring 2001 Chandra Levy disappeared.
IIRC, Scarborough and Condit, along with John Kasich, were in to some kinky stuff in DC. Then came Chandra, then Lori, then 9/11. I believe that all three were “scared straight” and went home to their mommies after that and kept low profiles for a long time, leaving their DC positions.
