STRONG tremors have struck near Guam, Japan and Alaska within the Pacific plate as fears of Ring of Fire activity return. The US island territory of Guam was struck by four earthquakes 'in the early hours of Tuesday' as magnitude 5.7, 5.6, 5.4 and 4.9 quakes shook the region.
Alaska was hit by more but weaker tremors, measuring at magnitudes of 4.2, 4.0, 3.9, 3.6, 3.5 and 3.3 while a 4.5 magnitude quake shook Japan.
The earthquake activity returns after a magnitude six quakes struck 10km deep off the Northern Mariana Islands. No immediate tsunami warning was triggered.

What's the payout? Depending on what that is, you might want to be more specific, because we have lots of quakes every year in California. Most of them little. There was a sizeable one a few weeks ago, woke us up and shook the house pretty good; it was near Berkeley and we're across the bay in South SF. My bet is on either the LA region, or the Hayward fault near Berkeley, for a sizeable quake in California. Sizeable, meaning above 5.0. As for catastrophic, my bet is on Cascadia near Seattle. They could see anywhere from 7 to a 10 up there if it rips.
Could be..I’m not on that ring or even close, never felt tremors so I wouldn’t know....but those who have often ones tell e you get a sixth sense about it.

Lets hope not but they’ve been saying a big one is bound to happen sooner rather than later...
There is a pattern where you see a 4.x near Petrolia up north then a 4.x near the Mexican border followed by a 4.x at 90 degrees to the fault axis in Nevada. It almost looks like a lever with the fulcrum in the California mid coast region.

I believe that, this sounds silly. First Southern California than perhaps 2 weeks later North California. I don’t know why I had that thought for some time.
