There’s a point where allowing children to attend public schools is actually abuse.
The doctors, FDA, and pharmas could have prevented this shooting. They have known about ssri’s and teen boys for decades. They altered the med insert to cya, but that merely shows they have no intention of altering the adminustration of these drugs!
Doctors or N.P.s prescribe in thr office, typically. Unless parent takes kid to private shrink, clinic, etc. Probably only occasionally psych ward. The follow up is important. The charting of symptoms, thoughts, anxieties is critical. The patient should be seeing a counselor, doc, or someone about every 2 weeks. All this could have been prevented. Of course the parents must oversee meds. Cruz went off his a year ago.
Fii, these ssri-type medsare dangerous in teenage boys, another reason for strict supervision. They are not a controlled substance, but docs should keep an eye on teen at-risk male patient.
Yates is entirely different. It was not mass violence, it was not foreseen by violent behavior, she was in a post-partum psychotic state, a very rare condition which I have observed. One similarity to both cases, they could have been prevented by caring medical help.
It is not just psychotropic drugs though they seem to be everywhere with these mad murderers.
How about the gub mint psychs? Are they not doing their jobs? Are they not allowed to report on their crazies? Are they planting the notion to kill in these crazies so as to help implement gun control?
Start with the side effects and Black Box FDA warnings on them that alone should cause alarm. If the are bad enough to warrant a Black Box Suicide warning, they are bad enough to render a person capable of committing such heinous acts.
What did they find on that guy that murdered 5 of his children? http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/s-dad-strangled-5-kids-death-officials-article-1.1938388
