There are three candidates on the ballot for Tuesday's Wisconsin's Supreme Court primary, but how they fare in this officially non-partisan race could hinge on someone else.
President Donald Trump has been a factor in local elections around the country over the past several months, and the race to fill a seat on Wisconsin's highest court is no exception.
The contest features Madison attorney Tim Burns, Milwaukee County Judge Rebecca Dallet and Sauk County Judge Michael Screnock.

Dallet: Our public schools, which have been threatened in terms of monies being cut from them. We have wonderful lakes, streams and parks and now we have to worry about clean air and water. Equal protection under the law is at risk every day and these are the things that make Wisconsin great."

Burns said he will use his seat on the court to fight Walkers agenda and stand up for liberal values, including opposing powerful deep-pocketed special interests, photo ID requirements to vote and partisan gerrymandering.

Dallet would advocate for empowering women, fighting for clean air and water, and combatting opioid abuse.

Screnock argues that hes beholden to the rule of law. Hes said it was a privilege to be one of the attorneys who defended Walkers Act 10 law, which took away collective bargaining rights from public unions.

“Sauk County Judge Michael Screnock.”......
Unless every liberal in the State, plus those that cast their illegal votes, Screnock should end up on the list of two. Time for some major changes on Wisconsin’s SC.

The busy work will be in the fall. Likely not between Burns and Dallet, but you never know.

Burns- if you’ve listened to some of the forums where he has spoken he is a straight up lunatic. Not even sure if mentally he is even capable of serving as a judge. Not surprisingly the far left in the State loves him.
Dallet - bad enough but made worse by having to try to appeal to the Burns contingent.
Screnock - been making the rounds on talk radio of course. Judiciary not a Legislative branch - no legislating from the bench.
No brainer...hoping that Burns gets the second spot. May set back the left in this State even further than they already are. He’s just the type of candidate that will reinvigorate our side.
Already voted :)

I know the article says that. But what if one
get 50% plus one during the primary does that
still hold for a top two runoff? I’m assuming
that one getting 50%+ isn’t likely today.
