In WVA and OK, nearly every one is a registered D but they vote R in national elections.

Only very recently are they also voting R in state and local elections.

In those two states a local GOP either newly exists and is learning or barey exists and is still on life support.

The GOP took over the OK legislature some years ago and the 2016 wave finally reached WVA.

It now has a GOP congressional delegation, the Governor’s office and one of two US Senate seats.

When do we start asking for Ronna McDaniel to resign?

The incumbent dies, and they throw his wife into the special election... and she clearly isn’t polished. The GOP deserves to lose if these are the best candidates that are getting the nomination. In the end, it is OUR fault if the right kinds of candidates are not going up against the Dem.

We won over 1000 of them the previous 8 years in all the states. We are giving them all back. How dump are the Republicans? I have to laugh at the thread where every excuse is given in the book. I guess Conservatives just don’t give a care. Very evident that is true. Every week we are losing and losing and all we get are excuses.

I think it is the enthusiasm the Republicans are lacking. Nobody is showing up on the GOP side to vote. We will lose the House but barely keep the Senate. I only care about the Senate anyway due to the judiciary.

A lot of Trump voters are actually democrats that vote for their party to bring home the bacon. They just didn’t like Hillary.

I can’t really speak for Kentucky but for WV I can do a little better. I travel there a lot for both business and pleasure. Both my biz associates and brother say that the WV GOP on the ground roots, city & county is still finding its way. The ground roots Rats still in many ways call the shots at the city & county level. This still existing support is what Manchin clings to. It’s changing but it hasn’t changed yet. The other problem is many of the new GOP local bulls are old Rat bulls with a shiny new GOP paint job. This causes some resentments. Well that’s what they tell. I will see for myself in 10 months when I retire there.

Considering that 75% of R’s are RINO’s or members of the UNIPARTY and feckless cowards, I’m not surprised.

Didn’t they just make the people on welfare and or food stamps go to work there? That would turn the tide.

These state and local races are being highly funded for ‘rat candidates by outside sources of money. GOP ignores this at their peril.. And ours.

Look at the trend. The GOP is writing off the mid terms, and by extension Trump. Trump is moving left, and will continue to in order to stay in office.

The incumbent blew his head off after allegations of raping underage girls. Then they ran the guy’s wife.

Once again the GOP lives up to the "Stupid Party" moniker.
