I was surprised they withstood the liberal mob storming the gates at Tallahassee.

Few politicians are that brave,

Not that I want to stir the pot, but if you took the normal yearly death toll in Florida (murders), and did the number business....I doubt that the assault rifle usage in these episodes reaches more than 2-percent of the deaths. I would even go and suggest that people killed by knives in Florida....would be a two-to-one average over assault rifles.

Finally, again...not to stir the pot...but Florida leads the way nationwide on the number of people killed by lightning strikes. Can’t we possibly pass legislation to lessen this number and prevent lightning deaths? It would seem like we should just pass a law that says when lightning is within 20 miles...everyone should huddle underneath a overpass, or in some public building.

The cheap applause of the gallery is not the way to deal with tragedy.

Sarah Sanders warned us Tuesday afternoon against seeking a quick and simple answer. They don’t exist.

We might as well try to hold back the tide.

It didn’t work for King Canute.

The problem isn’t guns. Its human nature.

No one has ever found a solution to the problem of human evil and by definition, bad guys will always be with us.

Banning guns won’t change it.

In reality, guns have saved countless more lives in Florida than they ever killed. Guns should win the Nobel Peace Prize.

You will never hear about the heroic use of guns in the fake news media.

Which would probably come as a revelation to the kids who traveled to the FL state capitol.

Not everything is the NRA’s fault. Life is far from being black and white - especially with regard to guns.

I grew up in Florida. No way people down there are giving up their guns.

It’s just the nature of the terrain......

Not a lot of people walking around on the street, everyone travels by car. So there’s a sense of isolation, even in Metro areas.

No basements or attics for people to hide in, and very few 2 story houses. This makes people feel more vulnerable in their homes.

Warm weather all year round means perps will never say “it’s too cold out tonight to commit a robbery, I’m staying in”.

When a person screams for help, their voices are likely to be muted by closed windows, and drowned out by the never ending noise from air conditioners that run practically all year long.

Hypocrit legislation meant to not fight crime but for empty virtue signaling and campaigns against Trump (Russiagate, Fast&Furious etc)

People from Palm Beach, Miami and Tampa constitute a minority of the state’s voters.

There’s a reason FL is a heavily GOP state. People’s values in most of the state are Southern rather than Yankee.

So the media portrait of FL as Broward County write large is misleading and far from the truth.

Banning golf would solve that problem (and the sport of watching paint dry ;^))

More people down in their bathtubs than are killed by guns.

17 dead kids? Just statistical noise.
