All of what you wrote being true, DC is still a Black-RAT run city. And unfortunately, Blacks do not have a good record at running big cities (just look around, Baltimore, Houston, St. Louis, Detroit, etc.). You cannot survive as a political entity operating on the “Free $hit Theory of Governance!” Crooked Black Politicians, using the wealth of those who work, to line the pockets of people who seem to think getting a job is beneath them. And yes, I understand that racism still exists in the job market, but that’s where effort should be made to level the playing field.
Here in California in the 1950’s we had the “Bracero Program,” which allowed Mexican Nationals to come here to do seasonal work in agriculture. But the Blacks took the position that the Hispanics were “taking their jobs,” so the program was abandoned. But then the Blacks decided that that kind work was “not to their liking.”
So now we’re back to importing illegals who don’t ever go home to do that work, but from a neighbor who works in that business, he tells me that despite all the Mexicans here illegally, they still don’t get enough stoop labor. It is so bad that they are investing heavily in mechanized harvesting as a solution.
