As the article mentions, nothing can be done by the developed world to stop mass starvation

The way pre Modern world handled Starvation was either move to literally greener pastures (emigrate) or die. The modern world solution was develop technologies to irrigate, increase yields and pesticides. Add population controls and you have how 1st World nations maintain their environment.

All of this isn't magic, and can be adopted by any competent nation.

But there lies the rub, "Competent"

3rd worlders are too stupid to develop their(often superior ecco- systems) and too proud to let others(read: colonialism) peoples govern competently

This is the world they made, let them learn to do so as they see fit. It is hard to see millions die of malgovernment(See Zimbabwe) but the treasuries of the West are not unlimited and there's just so much people our lands can support.(despite liberals caterwauling.)And importing these same low I.Q. into a (relatively) high I.Q. nation will ultimately only doom both.
