"That is extremely illegal. It’s called constructive eviction."

WHY is it not called "theft"???

Love is love, why question her relationship with her room? Just add a D for Dormophilia to the ever-expanding LGBTQUACKERY.

No, I mean, all the months she stole living there rent-free.

At a current balance of $94,000 I’m pretty sure that — even in New York — that’s GRAND theft.

She’s an obnoxious 16 year old trapped in a 32 year old body.

From what I can remember where I grew up we never really had issues like this. Of course the housing was never a public dormitory.

Just a group of duplexes. I would just send some friends of my cousins over and tell them they’d get 100% of the rent money and all the deposit if they could explain to the squatters that they were never to ever come back.

The funny thing is, they were really happy to leave. Some even left behind extra deposit money.

You rarely see these types of problems except in private property that has owners that don’t live in the neighborhood they rent from. At least that’s what I remember. Of course it’s been decades since I lived in the old neighborhood. So my memory could be fuzzy.

You are not considering how a leftist judge will twist this situation. He could easily rule that the issue is not one of contract law, but one of property law. And regardless of the language in any contract, the student acquired tenancy rights upon occupancy and so locking her out without court approval violated her rights.

Leftist judges do things backwards. They write their desired conclusion and order first. Then try to come up with some reasonable sounding yet completely dishonest reasoning to justify it later.

It’s a liberal college. She’s just a quick study. She nailed the whole liberal/socialist philosophy. They would be hypocrites for evicting her. Should just give her an honorary degree.

What the F&$@has happened to our country? We have laws that are not enforced while non-laws (i.e. DACA, illegal voting “rights”, sanctuary cities, etc.) are enforced with vigor.

People would balk at that, calling it vigilantism.
