Much of the reason is the slew of Tariffs and Import Restrictions...
Yet they will lecture US about tariffs? The entire EU is a protected economy!
“You get taxed by the tariff and get no benefits for the bill”
Only IF we buy their product. The intent of a tariff is to reduce the number of units purchased.
And it works.
Ask Germany, they tariff darn near everything that comes from the US.

Tariff Ignorance Syndrome.
1) Blame the multitude of other taxes for your woes, like income, property, sales, & inflation; unfair tax.
2) Lower the other taxes, shifted to the tariff.
3) Tariff has a DUAL purpose, unlike those other more destructive taxes.
