Shooter revealed gory fantasies to his therapists years before the Parkland massacre

Nearly four years before school shooter Nikolas Cruz gunned down 17 students and educators at a Parkland high school, he confided in a therapist that he saw himself in a dream drenched in human blood.

A May 3, 2014, notation in a Broward County schools psychiatric file said Cruz “reported [a dream] last week of him killing people and covered in blood. He smiled and told the therapist that sometimes he says things for shock value.”

After Cruz’s disclosure to his therapist at the alternative Cross Creek School, administrators developed a “safety plan” to ensure the welfare of Cruz and others while the teen was on summer vacation. The plan included provisions for removing “all sharp objects from the home” and encouraging the youth to “verbalize what the problem is.”

How'd that plan work out for ya? Methinks you got some part of it wrong.

So, much like the alphabet agencies that failed to do their jobs an put this psychopath on the NICS no-buy list, this therapist is ALSO an accessory to the murders.

Gee... sure glad the system is working./s

He smiled and told the therapist that sometimes he says things for shock value.

You can bet his shyster lawyers will be pleading the "marshmallow" defense. This would appear to prove that he ISN'T crazy. IMHO.

I’m quite sure had anything been done proactively, cries of racism would abound, and Cruz would be the poster child for Trump’s rounding up “Hispanics”. The Left saw to it this kid never stood a chance.

And as usual, no one in government or anyone privy to this lunatic’s situation is held responsible.

The solution posited is further restrictions on personal liberty and freedom. And the idiot politicians oblige.

>>The plan included provisions for removing “all sharp objects from the home”

Tell me how one accoplishes this, please. This is complete pie in the sky bull squeeze at a typical home. Food preparation involves sharp items. Lawn care involves sharp objects. Tool boxes typically involve sharp objects. The list goes on and on.

And there is the plain fact that humans are inventive creatures. Many non-sharp normal, everyday objects can easily be made so, or used as a weapon as-is, no sharpening required. A baseball bat comes to mind as a common item thus.

Boilerplate text in a psych eval that protects the evaluator but does nothing of any practical use.

To the No Fly List and No Guns List, we really should have a No Consultation List to keep people away from therapists who are too stupid to give advice to others.

“...HIPPA...”

Passed during the Clinton crime regime, yes.

But this psychopath kid was clearly a threat and it should have been communicated to law enforcement to prevent him from being able to purchase legally.

Could he have gotten one illegally? Yeah, probably. Anybody who wants one bad enough can get one. But this was made easy for him.

If we’re to have the whole background check thing imposed on us, then it should be followed. This kid should never have been allowed to purchase a gun.

Nut had 4 years of history showing he would do this:
- School and local officials did nothing. FBI did nothing.
- Law enforcement stood down during crisis, resulting in more deaths
- Those would did enter the school have been ‘disciplined’
- Millions of FL citizens have their gun ownership rights eliminated
- The local and national authorities, as well as school system are scott-free.

This sums up the situation as best I see it.

Haven’t seen it yet, but assume there will be some “ wrongful death” lawsuits coming.

A sea of red flags and everyone sat on their hands.
The dead and wounded were sacrificed on the altar of progressive political correctness.
NO ONE will stand up and say “we screwed up”, everyone of them is in CYA mode.

So when are the FL Republicans going to ram a bill up everyone's ass like greased lightning that actually does something about - or at least calls to account - EVERY DAMNED ONE of the multitudes of government officials (school district/county/state/federal) who are more responsible for 17 deaths than anyone other than Nikolas Cruz himself?

I have lived past this country's expiration date.

Dont blame the therapists. They are governed by HIPAA privacy rules. This falls squarely on Sheriff Israel, the Broward Schools and the FBI...the Miami Herald wants to distract the public from that fact yet again

Yeah, but it looked good on paper.

That is the problem with Libs -- they never take responsibility for the results or consequences of their plans/actions.

A criminal violation right there.
