The Agony of Jeff Sessions
National Review via the White Mountain Independent ^ | 3/13/2018 | Rich Lowry

Posted on 03/13/2018 6:11:15 PM PDT by advance_copy

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been attacked and belittled by President Donald Trump more than Vladimir Putin has.

[SNIP]

Sessions’ recusal in the Russian investigation set in motion events leading to the appointment of Robert Mueller, and Trump will probably never forgive him.

Remember:

The tarmac meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch
Changing “gross neglegence” to “extreme carelessness”
Comey leaking FBI memos to his “friend” destined for the New York Times
Hundreds of “unmasking” requests so out-of-bounds that the NSA Director ordered a review
Millions from Clinton's campaing to Perkins-Coie to Fusion GPS to Chris Steele to Russians
FISA warrants requested based on their dirty dossier
Uranium One – 20% of U.S. Uranium controlled by Russia
Top Secret SAP information on Hillary's private e-mail server
“Wiretapping” Trump Tower – a.k.a. Spying on the President-Elect
Jim Clapper leaking classified info to CNN about Obama's dirty dossier meeting in Dec 2016
Peter Strzok (who still works at the FBI) and Lisa Page's "insurance policy"

And more...

The number of dang serious crimes committed are equal to a whole dang bunch. But nothing is being done about it. Why?

Because Jeff Sessions holds the only position in the U.S. Government that is authorized to do something about it. And he “recused” himself based on what he determined are the rules about recusal.

That leaves Rod Rosenstein to act as Attorney General in these matters. Yet Rosenstein is close friends to Comey, implicated in at least one of the crime coverups (U1), and likely involved as US Attorney in Baltimore with a scheme to cover up the DC madam's hookers being used by intel and law enforcement in the mid 2000s.

Sessions sits in his office, knowing that crimes were committed and nothing is being done about them, all while the same players in the above list perpetrate the disgusting slanderous Russia hoax.

If he had any honor, Sessions would call a press conference and announce that something must be done about those crimes, that Rosenstein should be fired for his failure to do it, and that he is resigning because he can't do his job. He should implore the U.S. Senate to confirm a replacement selected by the President who has the ability and will to actually pursue justice in these matters.

Instead, he wallows in his pride holding his position and legacy above everything else. Pride goeth before a fall, Mr. Sessions.

So, I do not care about “The Agony of Jeff Sessions”. Read this tripe from that never-Trumper named Rich Lowry if you'd like. But it's malarkey, like most of what comes out of the National Review these days.

Shaking your fist at the forum again?

Why not just STFU - instead of morphing into "that guy?"

As opposed to spewing the usual toxic venom at a man who is doing his job diligently behind the scenes?

Sessions will be the downfall of Trump. He is trying to start investigations “today” when they needed action over a year ago. He is waiting for evidence destruction and Statue of Limitations. Would love to see Trump have him Indicted for not doing his job.
Now send it the i dotters and t crossers saga. How about one shot at it so make it foolproof. The list is infinite. Still not one Dem charged with any crime. Maybe he should be praying to Q.

Robert Mueller has been Special Counsel for 10 months, and he’s already indicted 16 people in his bogus investigation. Who has Sessions indicted. Look a this list again:

The tarmac meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch
Changing “gross neglegence” to “extreme carelessness”
Comey leaking FBI memos to his “friend” destined for the New York Times
Hundreds of “unmasking” requests so out-of-bounds that the NSA Director ordered a review
Millions from Clinton’s campaing to Perkins-Coie to Fusion GPS to Chris Steele to Russians
FISA warrants requested based on their dirty dossier
Uranium One – 20% of U.S. Uranium controlled by Russia
Top Secret SAP information on Hillary’s private e-mail server
“Wiretapping” Trump Tower – a.k.a. Spying on the President-Elect
Jim Clapper leaking classified info to CNN about Obama’s dirty dossier meeting in Dec 2016
Peter Strzok (who still works at the FBI) and Lisa Page’s “insurance policy”

And more... I ask again, who has Sessions indicted?

He’s going to get on that when he stops smoking pot.

They developed a strategy in 1 year to ;et the costs decide about their immigration policy instead of standing on their hind legs and enforcing the law.

And I remind everyone where the buck stops.

I know, I do know that. The only thing is, Mueller is the sword of Damocles over the President. Mostly because so many GOP Senators have declared that Trump shall not do anything about Mueller. He'd have no backing and would face impeachment, even conviction on bogus charges like Mike Flynn, were he to remove Sessions/Rosenstein/Mueller.

he will, lose either way with Mueller. i like it best when he fights. immigration is not tied to mueller. People should be arrested starting with officials in california who are spitting in his face everyday.

When is the ‘sealed indictment,’ against Clapper going to be unsealed? A day after the statute of limitations has expired?

On the bright side, we won’t have long to wait. Clapper is guilty as sin and free as a bird—and thanks to Sessions, he’ll remain that way.
