Senators suspect Comey lied and plotted to double-cross Trump, seek second special counsel

A plan of action for how a second special counsel can investigate the FBI and Justice Department is spelled out in a point-by-point letter submitted by two Republican senators.

They specifically want to know whether former FBI Director James B. Comey lied to them and had a plan to double-cross President Trump.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley of Iowa and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina sent a letter last week to Attorney General Jeff Sessions. They and two other Republicans want a special counsel with the powers of the Trump-Russia probe’s Robert Mueller to investigate suspected Justice Department corruption. They attached a second letter to Michael E. Horowitz, the Justice Department’s inspector general, outlining all the avenues that need to be navigated — complete with new and expanded accusations. They want an investigation to look at whether Mr. Comey set up Mr. Trump as president-elect.

Scumbag Comey who got his dirty wings playing with Bill Clinton with Marc Rich. He's been a dirty cop for decades.

McCabe’s felonies are mouse nuts compared to Comey (McCabe’s best bud), Lynch, Brennan, Power, Jarret, Kerry, Crooked Hillary, and others. All under the watchful eye of Hussein Obama.

I can’t get past the filter on the link without turning off Ad-blocker. Does it say what exactly was the double-cross?

Comey’s testimony before Congress was nothing more than a n crass audition for a book deal.

Every statement he made sounded like a chapter heading.

He knew he was going down but he wanted a $$bundle to take with him.

He'll sing like a bird if she's subpoena'd...

“Once I decided to run,” Jill McCabe said, according to The Wall Street Journal, “my husband had no formal role in my campaign other than to be a supportive husband to me and our children. As a federal official…everyone who participated in our campaign understood and respected that he could not participate.”

Don’t forget Clapper, Powers, Rice, Lerner, Koskinen, etc. You could build a new jail and populate it with the bad actors from the last administration.

Does it say what exactly was the double-cross (by Comey)?

_________

Without reading further.. I would guess what was may have been meant by "double cross" was Comey going to see Trump with the two page summary of the Dossier" that was completely disingenuous and misleading. He went to see Trump (acting like he was trying to be helpful) just to get D.T. to respond in some way that would get him in trouble.

Maybe someone else on this thread has a better explanation for you.

I haven't read the thread yet this morning.

What you have noted is a conspiracy to over throw the government.

That can also be defined as a treasonous conspiracy. That translates to the death penalty for the conspirators

The way ahead then is delineated by where the line is drawn on who receives the death penalty and who gets life in prison

Citizen...... it’s 1791 in America

These felons can’t look anymore guilty than they already do. What else could surface that would surprise anyone? Just like all the other blockbuster revelations of corruption it will be swept under the swamp by Sessions. We Freepers will will have to deal with our elevated blood pressure and some Fox commentators will scream but that stooge Sessions will provide cover for the DS. Neither we, Fox News or congressional committees can indict these criminals. Until Sessions and Rosenweasel are fired this whole sordid affair might as well be dropped.

Mr. Comey visited Mr. Trump for an intelligence briefing at Trump Tower days before he took office. Mr. Comey broke the news about what he called a “salacious and unverified” dossier now known to have been bought by the Democratic Party from its contractor, former British spy Christopher Steele. It told of Mr. Trump supposedly frolicking with prostitutes in Moscow and overseeing Russia’s hacking of Democratic Party computers.

At the moment Mr. Comey called the scintillating dossier “unverified,” the FBI was using it to justify a wiretap on former Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

The briefing instantly leaked to CNN, rocking the transition team with a series of unverified dossier accusations. BuzzFeed then posted the 35-page dossier, which remains unconfirmed publicly.

“There is a question as to whether the FBI included the dossier in the briefing, and possibly leaked that it had done so, in order to provide the media a pretext to report on the dossier,” Mr. Grassley and Mr. Graham wrote.

Does that help?

Indeed. Many call it a silent coup, wherein the deep state takes out a duly elected President who has vowed to drain the deep state swamp. I don’t know how this will end.

Clarifies how it smoothly coordinated it went down with CNN and BuzzFeed.

Absolutely; thanks.

As the draining swamp exposes the slimy creatures, there will be a punishment flurry that turns into a 1792 blood bath

Modern patriots, for the most part, aren’t interested in a French style revolution. At this moment anyway ...
