Increasingly prolific spectacular killings like these school shootings and Moslem shooting practice are symptoms of societal breakdown.That must end (for a time) in a totalitarian State or in conquest from outside as society fractures into warring groups and banditry. Taking all the guns from those who obey laws successfully would only get the law abiding types killed off or enslaved while giving power to those who steal guns and normally use them to commit crime.

And sheriff, if you decide to take from cold dead hands because you want to confiscate you can, once or twice, but what happens when gun owners are on notice, the SS is action. What happens if they slaughter your storm troopers in an ambush? You will have sympathy from your leftist comrades, but the more family members you kill in your confiscations the more the resistance will grow until you and your goons would become the hunted. When you start killing family members eventually human nature takes over and it will get personal. I pray it never comes to this. And this clod hasn’t a clue about his oath or his word, another Sheriff Israel wannabe.

Unless we ourselves are really willing to be that someone who is willing to die or go to prison fighting for the Second Amendment, then there's no guarantee that anyone will.
Agreed, but it worries me that people running for public office are stupid enough to believe such things and think it’s okay to say them. If the Left is that disconnected from normal Americans, a second civil war may be unavoidable.
This candidate for sheriff is calling that bluff. Unless he wins, there is no reason for us to find out how serious normal Americans are about protecting freedom. If he wins, and if he violates our God-given rights, I have no doubt on the swift and certain outcome of that unconstitutional abuse of power.
Well at least my KSG is legal. It’s a pump action but it holds 12 rounds.
