When President Trump recently visited California, he came away with the sense that it is totally out of control. If he arrived at that conclusion from just a single visit, imagine how many who live in the state feel.
To be fair, California itself isnt out of control. There are many among the 40 million who honorably and honestly go about their daily business. Outside of Antifa riots and some infantile behavior on college campuses, there are no mobs in the streets; crime is up but not unrestrained; there are multiple efforts brewing to break up the state, but none are threatening violent insurgencies (though there is a Calexit movement that calls for the state to leave the union).
What is out of control is Californias ruling class. Much of its political agenda is hostile to basic human liberty and mocks the limits on what government should be allowed to do in an ostensibly free society.
Likely the sharpest thorn in Trumps side is California lawmakers contempt of our federal system. States enjoy wide latitude to pursue their own destinies. The 10th Amendment provides states with powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, but it doesnt allow them to conduct their own foreign policy, which is the province of the federal executive branch.
If all this isnt enough to convince the rest of the country that California lawmakers are out of control, add to it legislation that regulates cattle flatulence in the name of the climate.
Yet California has decided that it is a sanctuary state where federal immigration laws dont apply. Since Jan. 1, state and local law enforcement officers have been barred by law from cooperating with federal immigration enforcement.

Lived in Marin back in the mid ‘70s. I have been back to SF, LA, & SD and up in the Humboldt region since.
California, I think has become a model of mob rule, a democracy without the boundaries a republic affords. A state which could probably benefit from an electoral college. Sad really.
They think everyone thinks and agrees with them so they just do whatever they want.my sister in law just died in California so I wont ever have to return to that crazy state. hHer daughters are moving out to GA.For such a smart community they should look around and see your future in places like Baltimore, New Orleans, etc. The beautiful coastline is not enough to draw people once its reputation of a crime ****hole sets in. once and done will be the new tourist motto for California.
DO these people leave a mess? Where are their toilets and sewer system?
Kalornika was/has been “out of control” long before Trump ever came along, he was just doing his best to call it to the “non-believers” attention. No doubt there are SOME good folks there but unfortunately they never get to speak their peace or be heard.
It’s very sad to see what’s happened to such a beautiful state.
This is an absolute shame. Housing is a basic human right. The rich are not doing their part. They need to provide housing for these poor unfortunate people.
Housing in Crazy Maxine’s backyard; Moonbeam Jerry Brown’s backyard; Diane and Nancy backyard; etc.
Tucker Carlson had a British woman reporter on that spent the weekend in the tent cities in kalifornikator and she said you can't breath because of the stench.
The streets are used as toilets.
She also said the rat infestation is 2-3 to one vs people which is recipe for a big time disease outbreak.
If a plague like outbreak would happen in LA and 10s of thousands died...
And they say hippies died out the other half live in D.C..
I used to wonder how the deadly diseases prophesied by religious people could happen. Now we have an answer that it could happen in way of people living in lawlessness and filth.
