President Trump phoned Roseanne Barr Wednesday to congratulate her on the revival of her “Roseanne” sitcom, which was a huge ratings success, according to a report.
Trump wanted to personally reach out to Barr, after the reboot of her iconic ABC sitcom drew 18.2 million viewers in its debut on Tuesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the New York Times.
A source said the president was impressed by the “huge” ratings of “Roseanne,” which features Barr playing her alter-ego Roseanne Conner – a Trump supporter, like the actress is in real life.

Fortunately for her, she saw an opportunity to make money and this overrode her horror. Although I suspect this show is going to be one long attack on and parado of the “type of person” who supports Trump.

I think those big ratings were people who support PDJT. I think her ratings are going to get bigger as time goes by. The silent majority is tired of being blamed, put down and worse in this country.

Most folks remember Roseanne Barr for her horrible Anthem rendition but she's one of the more benign folks in Hollywood.

Oh my goodness. I thought Rosie and Roseanne were the same person. That’s why I couldn’t reconcile her support with the insult. Just goes to show how much I know about Hollywood! (I have other skills like nunchucks, cool BMX jumps, and tweaking J58 engines.)

I see you’ve been properly schooled by others, that, NO...Roseanne NEVER said that and that she’s been a LONG time Trump supporter.

The premier of the return was hilarious. They have tuned in to what half of the country supports and I hope they continue along the same lines. I wish her/them much success.
Even way back when, before Trump, Roseanne was critical of liberals......talked about their condescending hypocrisy.
When she first began her comedy act, her stage show was such a hoot. Seen on TV years ago, she was a natural, really had the audience on the floor with laughter. That her TV show was such a tremendous success, good for her. Interesting to see if this week’s audience will return next week or if they only desired to peak through her window to catch a glimpse once again.
That POTUS-VSG called her offering congratulations; he also phoned Moore’s opponent in Alabama to do the same.

No, she constantly tweeted her support for Donald Trump during the campaign and got into some twitter arguments with leftist Hollywood Celebs over it.
The show portrays her Trump family as very socially liberal and although they mentioned that they owned a gun, they couldn’t find where in the garage they hid it.
I liked it, but it doesn’t represent the Trump family values out in flyover country. Letting the young son wear a dress to his first day at school is not typical behavior in my real world.
Maybe next week Hollywood will begin to understand Americans a little better. It’s just a good start.
