Will Enough Ever Be Enough For the Gun Grabbers? Let's Ask the Libs in Britain Fighting(T)

Those of us who try to convince liberals of the folly of gun control often point to the fact that, in an imperfect world, it would be impossible to confiscate every weapon from every individual. Consequently, any gun control efforts end up punishing the law-abiding while leaving the criminals armed and better able to prey upon the innocent.

We also point to the inevitable slippery-slope, full well knowing that’s what may of these would-be tyrants are counting on. Sure, they’re going after the so-called “assault rifles” now, because the Parkland shooter used one and they’re really scary looking, but does anyone really believe that, should they succeed in banning those, they wouldn’t go after the next thing the next psychopath uses to commit mass mayhem?

And the next, and the next…

Which begs the question, will the gun grabbers EVER stop? Is there a point at which they’ll finally say - enough is enough? We’ve got your ARs and your semi-automatic rifles, but we’ll let you keep your pistols, your single shot shotguns and maybe your muzzleloading rifles since that’s probably what the Founders intended with that whole Second Amendment nonsense.

So, will the "betters" decide that just about everything obtainable by ordinary folks be subjected to psych evaluations of us before us common folks are allowed to obtain the item? Acid control, car and truck control, baseball bat control, lead pipe control, spanner wrench control. And on and on and on................... Besides, didn't the moose limb mare of Londonistan say "Hey, that's life in the big city." or something like that?

Do prisoners have shanks all the time despite 23 hour a day lock down?

I think they do.

I believe it was Ben Shapiro who mentioned, after one gun grabber said, “WE MUST DO SOMETHING!” that we already are. Ben pointed out that there are a LOT of laws on the books restricting gun use and purchase, but each time one of these events happens, that is all ignored and something “else” simply MUST be done.

Fact is, we already have too many laws in place. Seeking more laws is not the answer. In fact it’s WORSE than not being the answer. It keeps us from actually working toward true answers that would have a positive impact. Those that blame guns ARE the bad guys in this debate.

Doing something for the sake of doing something. That’s what they do. No amount of reason or logic need apply.

Yeah, like the time my old pickup had a real starting problem. I checked the voltage on the battery. It was strong and the terminals were clean.

So I replaced the starter. Didn’t help.
So I replaced the alternator. Didn’t help.

At my wits end I grabbed the wires going to the terminals. The “clean” negative connection was loose and totally corroded at the connection point. I cleaned it, re-attached the cable, and the problem was solved.

When you focus on things that are not the problem, it’s not a zero-sum endeavor. It not only can be costly, but the problem persists. The smart thing to do is first find the problem, and THEN fix it. And start with the cheapest thing to check.

and especially our right to defend ourselves against evildoers.

What really concerns liberals and fuels their special animus against the 2Amd is our right to defend ourselves against them.

Thing is, they don’t want to solve the problem. They want to perpetuate it in order to maintain a state of crisis so that they have a continuing excuse to violate the civil rights of the law abiding.

I don’t know how leftists can remain perpetually enraged.

There are people in my life who I really don’t like and physically cannot stand to be near. As soon as I leave the room, I’m no longer so exercised

There are people who I’ve been very angry with. I can think of a former co-worker who took every opportunity to trash my integrity. I wasn’t happy then, but didn’t remain angry for long.

It must be the Holy Spirit living in me and the satanic possession living in that of the perpetually angry left.
