I’m no fan of Qatar but Europe would be a much safer place with diversified sources of energy. Dependence on energy from unstable Russia will only lead Europe into another war.

I am guessing Trump is engaging in bluffing through blustering on Twitter, as he did with North Korea. I hope that is the case, and it is not because the Deep State has him in a corner due to the Mueller inquisition.

I do not trust the MSM nor the foreign policy establishment because of their long history of lies. However, if the decision has been made to overthrow the Assad regime, I pray that the Deep State is right about Russia's impotence and their ability to succeed in Syria when they failed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Iran.

This writer should act on his convictions and go join the fight against Assad himself.

I may be over-hyping it in my head but The World Cup could pan out to be a game changer of sorts.

Nevertheless, the U.S. and Russia both have enough problems at home to ward off risking such a conflict. We have illegal aliens, rebellious states like Colliefornia, a leftist (mostly-non-violent) insurgency, a no-good war-mongering media and political class and an enormous national debt. Putin has a collapsing country, due to its low birth rate.

A conflict that escalates into a nuclear exchange would finish us both quite easily.

According to some reports ISIS has used chemical weapons in Syria and Iraq over 50 times....so it would be no surprise to me if they didn’t in this case as well. Unfortunately these attacks always become political leverage for all players in Syria..ISIS knows this so use it....especially when parties are close to resolving the conflict.

Russia, Syria and Iran were very close to settling things, and Trump saying he wanted to remove troops....Isis brought out their ace in the hole they always use.

I don’t think either the US or Russia want war between one another.....but again there’s political grandstanding etc. that has to happen as they play the leverages each thinks it has.

Praying level headed minds will prevail when all is said and done.....

Well..our news agencies could be said the same of...and our Congressional Representatives are all over the map. So “fake” isn't exactly the word I'd use on either side of the equations.....it's pretty much wobbling for all players in the field right now....
