WASHINGTON (AP) — Allied missiles struck at the heart of Syrian chemical weapons arsenal in a show of force and resolve aimed at punishing the Assad government for a suspected poison gas attack against civilians and deterring the possible future use of such banned weapons.

How to taunt the Left..
at 2:41 a Syrian girl on a Syrian army soldier`s [her father?] shoulders is scared shtless.
Are we back in the mode of once again fighting for and against both sides in Syria?
Summary: Russia blinked. As we withdraw, we just demonstrated that 1) we can return at a moment's notice, 2) we can do whatever we want and 3) Russia will not retaliate.
Watch out Kurds.
Big deal it was accomplished, just as the ship’s mission under Bush was accomplished.
Perfectly executed mission, zero casualties on our side, devastating to Assad’s WMD capacity and overwhelming proof that American strength and leadership has returned and that President Trump will not hesitate to prove it.
Trump and our military hit it out of the park, both tactically and strategically.
Speak softly and carry a big Tomahawk.
Someone once said, “It ain’t over until it’s over”.
This is one of those times that I could do without a dose of trump braggadicio. Couldn’t he just shut up fornonve and let the results speak for themselves?
You misspelled "covfefe".
Oh Oh. If Erdogan supports the attack, I am worried.
Assad is out of power? Russia is withdrawing? The Mullahs are surrendering? Christians can worship freely?
Just what mission is accomplished? In fact which mission has ever been accomplished in the ME in the last 4000 years?
Assad is a pimp.
Erdogan is the one we will really need to worry about.
I have a feeling the US just stepped in the dog dookie, and won’t we able to wipe it off for while.
I think the idea behind Trump’s action was this:
Whether Assad would use the banned weaponry at his disposal, or whether the ‘rebels’ overran the storage facilities and then used those same weapons to attack, the most logical step was to ELIMINATE THE BANNED WEAPONS and the FACILITIES that produce them.
It’s not a case of taking anyone’s side in Syria, it’s a case of removing the weapons/facilities that everyone was saying were not there.
Since people like John Kerry and Putin guaranteed those facilities were not there, not producing chem weapons, TRUMP simply made it true. They are no longer there.
