I hate to tell you this, but from all my observations and “research”, the liberals have just as many guns and as much ammo.
I’ve asked many gunshop owners and store managers and they agree that it’s a 50/50 mix of customers. A lot of those “redneck” types are liberal Democrats. Many elderly are Democrats.
I was in a store at Christmas 2008 when an elderly hunter type came in and proclaimed he was buying guns because Obama was going to ban them...and he voted for Obama.
I know people with the same bizarre thinking. I've got a friend who besides many hunting rifles, shotguns, etc... owns several AR-15s, especially with illegal add-ons, like large clips, etc... "No one is taking my guns!" he will roar.
Then in the next breath, he will criticize the NRA, vote Democrat, promoted Hillary, etc.... Just bizarre.
The rest of us who know him just shake our heads. I've told him, when the SHTF, you are going to have to make a choice, friend, and I know what that choice will be.

Rubbish, it just isn’t so.
And they also have no compunction about using them to impose
a political agenda or to murder those who oppose them.
Just consider the recent assassinations of police officers
or the attack on the Republican Congressman in VA.
Conservatives are generally guided by a
Christian/biblical non violent world view.
Violence is a last resort or for self preservation.
Even the school shootings and other violent crimes are
mostly committed by people with a non Christian, leftist,
atheistic view of the world and politics -- in my opinion.
