I hope the teen vogue people join those 100,000,000+ humans who were murdered not anti-capitalists. That would be justice . Idiots.

"As Martin Luther King, Jr. — a firm anti-capitalist — said in his final speech to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1967, “One day we must ask the question, ‘Why are there forty million poor people in America?’...When you ask that question, you begin to question the capitalistic economy.”

I think we have already answered his question...... there are forty million poor people because they won't work. They don't want to work for an education and they don't want to work a job.

Free enterprise has been relabeled by the Marxists as, the pejorative, capitalism.

Freedom-Free Enterprise

No Freedom-Socialism

Not more complicated than that.

Hillary has come up with Excuse# 8,763 for "What Happened" in 2016.

Now she claims she lost the election because she had to lie and say she was a capitalist when 40% of democRATS are socialists.

Imagine the outcome of the election if both her and Bernie were espousing the virtues of Venezuela.

‘Capitalism’ was a term made up by Karl Marx as a straw man to contrast with “Communism”. As always, leftist totalitarians cannot win an honest argument, so they attempt to control what language is permissible in order to prevent honest debate.

“Free Enterprise” Is a much more accurate description of the economic system advocated by Adam Smith, John Locke and other enlightenment philosophers. Among the central principles of free enterprise are:

* Each individual has the right to decide for themselves where, how and for whom they will work. (As opposed to a totalitarian monarch, a totalitarian communist dictator, or a totalitarian socialist ruling class)

* Each individual has the right to decide for themselves what goods or services they will buy. (As opposed to a totalitarian monarch, a totalitarian communist dictator, or a totalitarian socialist ruling class)

* Each individual has the right to keep and spend the wealth that accumulates from their efforts. (As opposed to a totalitarian monarch, a totalitarian communist dictator, or a totalitarian socialist ruling class)

This wealth is misnamed ‘capital’ by evil individuals who would rather seize the wealth of others by force, because they view theft as an easier lifestyle than freedom.

An individual thief, who understands that stealing is wrong, presents a comparatively small danger to society than totalitarians (whether they call themselves monarchists, communists or socialist). Leftist totalitarians always pretend that their thefts are committed “for the benefit of society”, no matter how many centuries of evidence illustrates otherwise.

they always leave out the variable of risk. When mentioning the rich, they never mention the many failures which outnumber the successes.

Private wealth takes risks. The STATE is risk averse. If you dont take risks you will not have any successes.

You cannot have a successful society without the accumulation of private wealth willing to take risks.

“Where did capitalism come from? “

You may as well ask where “liberty” comes from.

The article is systematically stupid. I wonder if Teen Vogue will publish a rebuttal.

Capitalism is a system based on individual freedom of choice in economic decisions. Everything else -- feudalism, socialism, communism, slavery -- is a system based on political control of economic choices.

That shouldn't be a hard choice if presented correctly.

Besides the major over-simplication here, the problem with capitalism is that most youth and younger adults have never seen it in its pure form. The hybrid we have today has some significant flaws. Mostly because of government restrictions forcing a flavor of socialism onto it. I suspect that is part of the blame for what appears to be absolute greed by the so-called one percent (instead of the trickle down that would happen in a pure capitalistic society). I can see how the audience for this piece would feel that way.

If only we could convince them to read Atlas Shrugged. The story of the Twentieth Century Motor Company describes the evolution into socialism very well. But it is way too long of a book.

[Wow, hard to believe that people still think like this, after 100 million casualties and mass suffering everywhere it’s ever been tried.]

It happens when you don’t teach real history to the younger generations. “Doomed to repeat it” and all that.

“Capitalism is defined as an economic system in which a country’s trade, industry, and profits are controlled by private companies, instead of by the people whose time and labor powers those companies”

Somebody has watched Dr. Zhivago too many times.

...it’s because they think our current economic system, capitalism, will cease to exist by the time they are in their 60s.

Shouldn't the freeloaders rejoice?

Teen Vogue continues Marx’s big lie, by mislabeling FREEDOM, as some abstract concept, that they try to make sound unappealing.

If you can’t own things, you are not free to decide what to do with them. Without resources you are not free to do much, and must obey for your next meal.

Capitalism = Freedom for individuals

Socialism = Stealing everything, from everyone, and controlling them absolutely.

Communism and Socialism was always nothing more than a sweet sounding lie, wrapped in a fog of pseudo-intellectual BS, to take absolute power.
