Rudy hasn’t always gotten his facts straight. Did Mueller really tell him this or is he playing Rudy?

This make it sound like Trump is guilty of something when he is not. There is nothing to indict him for.

Rudy probably is listening to Mark Levin. Levin mention the inability of a sitting POTUS to be indicted. The DOJ concluded this in 2000 and Levin stated so several weeks ago.

I don’t know about who’s telling who what but Rudy is right about not being able to indict a sitting president.

un-indicted co-conspirator

First, Mueller has to prove that there was a conspiracy and indict two or more conspirators. That isn't happening.

Still, I don't trust Mueller. He still wants the President to talk, apparently. My nightmare is that Mueller comes out after an interview and says, "I wasn't going to indict the President, but that was before he lacked candor under oath".

Of course that's true, but I can still see Mueller trying and the now-packed DC courts disregarding the law to say he can. Then the Dems will howl about the "Republican dominated Supreme Court" helping Trump avoid "justice."

Mueller's history is he never gives up until he spends years and millions and would look the fool by continuing. He's not there yet. His media base is holding.

No, President Trump cannot be indicted. The only recourse to a President's misbehavior is impeachment. Impeaching Trump simply because he's not an insider would be a bad idea, to put it mildly.

I think there's a hell of a good chance that many would take to the streets and riot, although we conservatives rarely go to that extreme.

I suspect a conservative response would be more carefully targeted than riots. We don't steal $200 sneakers whenever we have an excuse to throw a tantrum. What we do is solve problems. Permanently. I hope America's enemies on the left are smart enough not to cross that line and become the problem.

This is almost certainly the strategy I believe.
Bill Cunningham and Mark Levin have talked about this for about 8-10 months.

A slander sheet report (not indictment) that makes Trump look like an unindictable criminal mastermind that only an alert patriotic Dem led Congress can save us from with a Maxine Waters style impeachment and removal.
Wow.
Time for Civil War II yet?

They can’t subpoena him in a criminal case either.

Most of them know (maybe not Maxine Waters) that impeachment does not equal removal--they would need a 2/3rds vote in the Senate which is very unlikely even if all the RINO Senators vote for conviction. Anyway, they hate Pence just as much.

Maybe the idea is that if the House is in the Democrats' hands next year and they vote for impeachment, Trump would be so weakened that he would be unable to do much of anything--no nominees confirmed, etc., only able to issue executive orders--and easy to defeat in 2020.

They would like a repeat of Nixon in 1974 but Nixon knew that if he did not resign he would be impeached and convicted, and in Watergate there were underlying crimes. So far Mueller has zero evidence of any underlying crimes (or even of "collusion" which is not a crime).

But Trump did fire Comey and Mueller can call that obstruction of justice. Not that it was, but Mueller can call it that.
