What does Clapper mean “if”? This was authorized by him, the Attorney General, the Director of the FBI, the Director of the CIA, and likely the President.

I suppose we could say its good Obama sicced the FBI to spy on Trump since it proved Trump was squeaky=clean... there’s not been a single shread of evidence from the illegal FBI spy operation...or from any other source.... demonstrating that Trump did anything illegal at all.

If Clapper, the FBI, and the CIA had wanted to protect our elections, they could simply have warned Candidate/President Trump. That was not the point though. This was a trap from the start, a final insurance policy in case they needed an excuse - a backup plan. This was about a Deep State coup against the lawfully elected President of the United States in the “unlikely” event that the unthinkable happened and their chosen insiders lost.
