Remember that scene in The Blues Brothers where John Belushi’s ex-fiancee is about to shoot him for jilting her at the altar? Belushi reels off a string of transparently phony excuses, ultimately screaming “it wasn’t my fault!”
On her MSNBC show today, a desperate Joy Reid gave a mirror-image imitation of Belushi’s spiel. Instead of trying to deflect blame, Reid did her best to deny credit to President Trump should his summit with Kim Jong Un be a success.
Reid came up with three theories:
1. The real credit goes to South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
2. Don’t praise Trump “if he’s stumbling around in the dark, but he finds the golden ticket.”
3. The press, and Americans in general, give American presidents too much credit for what happens in the world.

That was the one thing I really respected Bernie Sanders for. He was a hypocrite but he was an HONEST hypocrite. He said “I am for Socialism for everyone but me and if I win I will confiscate the money and treasure of the working class (except me) and give it to the taking class.”
He didn’t hide his agenda.
The picture of the President and Kim in a celebratory handshake, seen round the world, will alone be enough to insure the Dems ‘Blue Wave’ turns into a black and blue wave in the midterms.
They should just admit that they want it to be a failure and get it over with. Nothing would make them happier on the left than the NORKs nuking Hawaii so they could blame it on Trump. That’s the reality of leftists. The ends justify the means.

I wonder how the people of South Korea and Japan, who live right next door to this nuclear maniac, feel about them trying to destroy what could be the only real chance for peace in Korea. The world will judge them all very harshly if the talks fail.
