Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen likely to cooperate as his attorneys leave case, sources say
ABC News ^ | 06/13/2018 | George Stephanopoulos

As attorneys for Michael Cohen rush to meet Judge Kimba Wood’s Friday deadline to complete a privilege review of over 3.7 million documents seized in the April 9 raids of Cohen’s New York properties and law office, a source representing this matter has disclosed to ABC News that the law firm handling the case for Cohen is not expected to represent him going forward.

To date, Cohen has been represented by Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison of the Washington and New York firm, McDermott, Will & Emery LLP.

No replacement counsel has been identified as of this time.

Cohen, now with no legal representation, is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors in New York, sources said. This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard.

After the federal raids on Cohen’s properties, President Trump lashed out in a tweet, writing, “Attorney-client privilege is dead!”

He told reporters at the White House that the move against his longtime personal attorney, which he likened to a break-in, was a “disgraceful situation.”

“It’s an attack on our country in a true sense. It’s an attack on all we stand for,” the president said during a meeting with senior military leadership at the White House. “That is really now on a whole new level of unfairness.”

Cohen then went to federal court in Manhattan arguing that his attorneys should be given a first look at the materials seized in the raids for items potentially covered by attorney-client privilege before federal prosecutors could examine the haul.

Soros, Kimba Wood, Scheiderman, Mueller, Rosenstein, Obama U.S. Attorney deputy. The complete corruption of the law in NY was carried out in broad daylight against Cohen to hurt Trump...and they’re getting away with it

Fake News?

“May” flip?

Maybe changing lawyers is a delaying tactic.

Cooperate with what? There is no connection to the President's alleged collusion with Russia.

So i don't know how this could "hit the president hard".

If they find he had a bathtub repaired in one of his hotels without a permit in 1988 then impeachment will proceed.

Talk about thin soup.

This is Stephanopoulos claiming that Cohen "may" cooperate with the feds because he's losing his lawyers. But cooperate in what? A plea deal to incriminate the foreign nationals also under investigation regarding his dealings?

There's nothing here related to the so-called Russian collusion case, which is the reason why this case is with the US attorney's office in NY and not part of the Mueller probe.

Cohen is being investigated for his own personal business dealings. Tell me where I'm wrong here?

No he has given him a chance for legitimacy, and the price will be an expensive one for Kim. As it will demand Kim provide for the betterment of his countrymen, along with the opening up of his country. This will eventually lead to the weakening of his control.

However, Obama actually did provide legitimacy, and a lot of money, to the terrorist nation of Iran.

This is a NY based case and off spring from the witch hunt. Probably has to do with real estate matters in NY. Total BS but it is what happens when you lose any sense of direction in these open ended witch hunts:

First question: When did Trump actually sign this purchase agreement which he said was in 1970? Answer, it was in 1971.

Next question: why do you think he lied about that?

So now that the Korea disaster (sarc) is passing, which Herr Schumer has declared as Trump’s legitimizing a “brutal” murderous regime (Russian puppet Trump is cavorting with terrorist dictators), we have ABC News, that bastion of journalistic excellence telling all how one Michael Cohen, the President’s ‘fixer’ and holder of all Trump’s Russian secrets, is abandoned by lawyers who have awoken to realize that even they cannot stomach to represent this surrogate of the most unfit Hitleresque monster to ever occupy the Oval Office (how one cringes to this thought).

So now my fellow liberals and globalists, we may finally expect some good news, the beginning of the end of this Trumpian travesty upon the world, as this Cohen creature will have no choice but to bow and obey his new masters, his betters who are ordained as inheritors and rulers of this Earth, paying homage to Gaia and her supreme darkness.

Yes, Mr. Cohen, you will tell all that we demand you tell, you will be one of us very, very soon.

Let me guess -- Mueller's working for Trump, and the whole thing is just to set precedents to make the *real* target of the investigations unable to stop the lawfare when it finally comes their way? Thanks GIdget2004.

Smarmy Daniels--as undeclared in-kind campaign payment, loosely tied to obstruction of justice? Far-fetched, but most of what Mueller has rooted round in is a stretch to connect to impeachable conduct with Russia.

There are reports Cohen will testify that President Trump once taped a baseball game without the expressed written consent of the Commissioner of Baseball.

Cohen is VERY lucky he was associated with PDJT. If it had been some “other” President, he would have already shot himself in the back of the head and then walked to a park without brushing the carpet fibers from the back of his suit.

You’re watching their desperation because Trump had a successful summit. They aren’t going to stop and this isn’t about Russian collusion. And this was the result of Stormy Daniels DNC / Soros lawyer.
