Revised headline: Trump Is Not Playing Chess!

Greenfield says he is boxing, “He doesn’t see politics as a chess match, but as a boxing match.”

Bye bye to the legendary multiple level and infinite dimension chess board that is invisible to mere mortals. A pugilist. I like it. Trump the fighter or better yet a rough and ready street brawler. I’m surprised the Greenfield doesn’t mention “Scots-Irish”.

Excellent. Great explanation of how Trump befuddles the hypersensitive lefties. He’s the adult in a crowd of emotional juvenile delinquents, but isn’t beyond playing thier games just enough to drive them crazy. He’s crazy like a fox.

He doesn’t get locked into predetermined goals. Instead he lets the kinetic confrontation create opportunities by exploiting his opponent’s reactions.

If Americans have a fatal flaw, a weakness that undermines our domestic and international politics, it’s a need to be liked. Most other countries don’t wonder whether the rest of the world likes them.

Blame Hollywood, dime novels or comic books, but as Americans we see ourselves as the heroes. And our enemies, foreign and domestic, know that they can break us by making us question our goodness.

It’s how they did it in Vietnam, in Iraq and too many foreign policy debates to count.

One of Trump’s great strengths is that he’s not afraid to be the bully, the heavy and the jerk. He can flatter Kim Jong-un, Trudeau and any other leader. Or call them names.

Once again, Greenfield 'gets it'...

By acting, Trump takes control of each encounter. What happens next may not be ideal, but Trump cares more about maintaining the initiative than about forcing a specific outcome. He doesn’t see politics as a chess match, but as a boxing match. He doesn’t get locked into predetermined goals. Instead he lets the kinetic confrontation create opportunities by exploiting his opponent’s reactions.

This is a very astute observation, an insight that had eluded me so far. He is not afraid to roll his sleeves up and wade in. What a blessing -- he is truly in the pioneer spirit of the colonies and early U.S.

-—roll his sleeves up and wade in-—

You point was made very clear to the offending media yesterday when he came out on the lawn.

Doing so, he completed the Fox big three.

Shawn Hannity, Brett Baird and Steve Duecy.

What a tour de force.

There was Trump on the White House grounds being interviewed for half an hour by Fox and Friends. Off to the left but on camera, was the gathering hoard that assembled once it was realized the President was present. The Secret Service cordon kept them in check. The message was given: You are to be seen but not heard. It was a funny visual of pure presstitute segregation and discrimination. I would guess there were lots of pissed off producers

And then just before concluding, Peter Duecy showed up on Camera. It was as if he was visually hosting an ad hoc news conference when the President allowed the hoard to ask questions. The President chided a woman...”you just ask the same question over and over” He acidly dismissed the CNN reporter. He destroyed the New York Times. He was having a field day . Peter Duecy was the only reporter in the video. It was just funny .

The President waded in. in addition to verbal, he made profound visual points. He made it look so easy.

Trump is willing to throw a punch at the boy band leader of Canada

I’ve been calling Trudeau “Prime Minister Boyband” for two years now, so I’m taking credit for that.
