President Trump on Wednesday said he will sign an executive order intended to end his administration's controversial practice of separating children from their parents who illegally cross the southern border.
We want to keep families together. Its very important. Ill be signing something in a little while thats going to do that, Trump told reporters during a meeting with Republican lawmakers at the White House.
Details about the order remain unknown, but Trump said he would be signing the document before leaving for a Wednesday night campaign rally in Duluth, Minn.
The move would be a major reversal for Trump and comes after the president and his top aides insisted for days that only Congress could halt family separations at the border, despite members of both parties saying Trump could unilaterally change the policy.
Trump said during a speech on Tuesday that congressional action is the only solution to the border crisis.
Congress and the courts created this problem, and Congress alone can fix it, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said on Monday.

I am more disappointed in President Trump than the moment he took office.
He won’t get credit for this, he will just get grief from both sides.
Bad moment for him.
The state could charge the parent with child abuse if they crossed the river or desert with or without escort. Then put the parent in county jail and give the kids to CPS.
It's yet another message of the coming Redemption, cloaked in a trigger topic about illegals:
"Trump says he will sign executive order to end family separations"
Flip over the dew of Psalm 133. Wed means to unify.
Flip over the Hebrew word for dew (טל, tal) and it ('לט) stands for letovah, for the best.
Hakol Letovah, all is for the best - idiomatic for the happy ending to a story.
"A happy ending is an ending of the plot of a work of fiction in which almost everything turns out for the best for the protagonists, their sidekicks, and almost everyone except the villains."
"A happy ending is epitomized in the standard fairy tale ending phrase, "happily ever after" or "and they lived happily ever after".
"Eucatastrophe is a term coined by English writer J. R. R. Tolkien which refers to the sudden turn of events at the end of a story which ensures that the protagonist does not meet some terrible, impending, and very plausible and probable doom. Tolkien formed the word by affixing the Greek prefix eu, meaning good, to catastrophe, the word traditionally used in classically inspired literary criticism to refer to the "unraveling" or conclusion of a drama's plot."
Flipped over story because it's real.
1. A Song of Maalot [ascent] of David; Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity:
2. It is like the precious ointment (lit. good oil) upon the head, that runs down upon the beard, Aaron's beard, that runs down to the hem of his garments:
3. Like the dew of Hermon descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life for evermore:
Actually, I just came upon this Psalm a few minutes ago by way of Psa 141.5. The oil of anointing is like a reproof that rolls right off of a wise man. The wise takes it to heart; he wouldn't delight in the misery of someone who had corrected him, or cause evil through his position of authority. In fact, he would pray for him. That's unlike the scorner who perceives an insult which straight away soaks right to the bone, motivating him to retaliate. Same words, different reaction completely.
The identify of the righteous is in observing the oil. It's oil, so it *should* roll right off like the dew of the evening and the morning, not soak down into a hidden place. Don't we all hate it when clothing gets an oil stain.
for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life for evermore
" they lived happily ever after"
Dew point. An ending so beautiful it makes everyone cry, even the poor fellow who allowed himself to be dragged into the chick flick.
Have a Nice Day!
Sounds like something Ivanka would convince him to do.
“Ivanka wins once again.”
What a crock.
Trump’s win loss record vs. the MSM so far has been nothing less than astonishing. But as good as he is, even he can’t win every battle. Most of his wins have been due to his ability to take advantage of the Left’s mistakes.
The left can be pretty stupid. They underestimated how many Americans resent globalism, Obama’s apology tour, the borders being overrun and losing wars that we should have won. Trump took advantage of their mistakes with America First, MAGA and by recycling Reagan’s peace through strength.
But the lying Left is not always stupid. Sometimes they hit one out of the park and that’s what happened with these pictures of kids in cages crying for their mommy.
Sure it’s completely dishonest, but it has been very effective.
Trump would be insane to try and take a hard line on this - he’s smart to face facts and realize OK they got me pretty good that time. Get up, brush it off, walk away and pick the next battle.
I’d hate to see him go down with the ship over some stupid pictures. They have him boxed in - he’s got to be seen as doing whatever he can do to end this ‘tragedy’ no matter how made up it is.
He seems to have caved on a Manafort pardon too, and the man’s safety is in question in solitary confinement.
The EO was real bad. Looks like Chuck is running things .

Any to add ?
How is the apprehending officer supposed to know whether a child is related to an adult?
That's his MO
I love the way you think.
...end his administration’s controversial practice...
Excuse me but it’s not his practice. It’s been government policy for a long time.
I’m not saying this is a win - I’m just saying that “caving” was his best bet - to stop the bleeding.
Rather than cave, the President continued his attack in a different direction
Those that think cave will be surprised when they lose big time
