Given the composition standards of journalism these days, that sort of confusion is easy to understand.
Also, your other point is accurate, though not germane to the current situation. Sometimes veterans, even veterans wounded in action, are criminals or just bad people.

Interesting that you should notice that ... way back when we were pregnant with our first son (1989), a neighbor and I were discussing what to name the newborn. He mentioned that there is a statistically small but provable link between the middle name ‘Wayne’ and criminal behaviour. He had read a study somewhere about that so this ‘link’ is not news, at least not to psychologists.

Well people, it’s started. Because of one of the leaders of the Trump Derangement Syndrome Party, we have this happening. Because of the piece of crap Maniacal Maxine Waters, we have the robotic sheep of the liberal socialist snowflakes, we have them following her orders. How long people before one of these sick wacko’s seriously hurts or even kills one of us. Mr. Key, thankfully was found and arrested. But stupidity like this will continue, unless we stop it.
What should we do:
1. Arm Yourselves for protection.
2. Get out and votes these walking pieces of human defecation like Mad Maxine and her ilk out of office.
3. Talk to you friends and neighbors. Watch out for sick things like Mr. Key, and report them to the Police.
4. You have to check out each and every person running for any of the political offices within your area. Find out who they are. What they stand for and their voting record on any subject. This is what stops the sick wacko’s from getting a foothold into you life through politics.
People, the line has been drawn by Waters and her allies. There is no other option. We have to fight them. I am not saying to sink to their level, but to stop them before they fester into a diseased group of maniacs who will stop at nothing to get their way.
