No chance. This is just bureaucratic BS.

The UN Charter CANNOT supersede the US Constitution.

Did President Trump promise? Congress? The Senate? SCOTUS? Even a single identified diplomat? Nope.

What drivel.

“Someone please tell me this is fake news.”

It’s gotta be or else Nikki Haley surrendered another flag.

U.S. Promises "Full Implementation" of UN Gun-control Agreement

What an absurd headline.
Who has the authority to make such a promise?

Citation, please, of the section of our Constitution that would permit such a presumption, or which grants that power.

Perhaps this is the perfect moment to resign from the United Nations, cancel the absurd funding of a mostly terrorist organization, and restore those many Billions$ to our domestic needs.
The U.N can then move to that ridiculous dress-up toy country Belgium, and everybody's happy.

Time to organize a National Official Citizen's Volunteer Army based on the Bill of Rights, with membership limited to documented American Citizens, pledged to resist any and all enemies, foreign and Domestic, including the United Nations .What shall we call it ?

We The People? Minutemen II

You did fine!

"Congress could, hypothetically, pass a law (or the president would issue an executive order) compelling 'voluntary' surrender of whatever privately-owned weapons, ammo, parts, and components (including reloading equipment) the UN deems 'illicit.'"

That's where the article gets into crazy conspiracy theory territory. As you know, it would be illegal for our government to do that, and doing so in cooperation with the U.N. would include even more serious violations of U.S. law (the Constitution).

But we should, of course, always remain vigilant and stay in engaged in political action, especially during times like now (at least voting in elections including midterms, or writing and speaking to inform others if unable to vote due to legal difficulties). The left has gone nuts more than usual again. Maybe their global warming is baking their brains. Or maybe it's those harsh, lefty drugs.

The New American, if I remember correctly, is a John Birch Society publication. If you haven't learned about the John Birch Society, my suggestion is to get information about it from various sources and not only the JBS site. The JBS site will show you some really peachy and attractive information. Other historical write-ups will show you something else.

I was subscribed to the JBS e-mail list in the past to find out more about it. The content coming out of that list was nice at first but got pretty weird. There was plenty of outrage but not much information about civics (bills, laws, voting, etc.) to help me do something about the outrages.

The best that we can do is to join the NRA or good state Second Amendment organizations. It's cheap, easy, effective and very informative.

“If Congress had a set, it would pass laws forbidding the implementation of foreign government laws trying to usurp U. S. Sovereignty, “

If Congress had a set, the’d be in the final stages of passing legislation mandating that the UN move it’s HQ from NYC to the soil of some other country, preferably not in the Western Hemisphere!
