"...brace yourself and expect to see more of their type of behaviour..."

Absolutely agree. Even if Pruitt was doing an average yet suitable job at the agency, they just should have just rearranged the reporting structure, responsibilities, and job title.

This will embolden violent leftwingers to confront anyone in the President Trump administration on a whim.
The Second Assistant to the Vice Secretary of the Bureau of Land Management is likely to find paid protestors outside his/her office tomorrow.

All this hype around Perry. He’s always announcing how much more we are going to spend on Energy infrastructure, and never announces how much he’s cut.

Terrible news

He's supposed to be a bright guy. He gave the maniacs way too much fodder to complain about. The argument "the dems are worse" doesn't cut it. Reduced rate rents from those he might have to rule on and secret appointment books are way too swampthingy.

I wish President Trump would fill some positions with true Deplorables who aren't connected to DC goings on or Deep State culture. Simple folk like you and me from the real world.

All you drama queens need to chill out. Cabinet positions are not meant to be a permanent appointment. It should be normal for citizens to put in some time as public servants and then go back to the private sector. It's what the Founding Fathers envisioned.

I thank Scott Pruitt for his service and I'm sure that Andrew Wheeler will step in and do a great job as well.

Cowardly?
/////////////////

Arguably the worst pick Trump has made by far. Only because of this. He resigned and in his letter (visible to all the world) admitted it was because of the attacks on him and his family.

Look for these attacks and protests to amp up to the point where no one wants to work for Trump. Really, really bad that this was not anticipated and dealt with well before it came to this.

Yeah, I don’t like the timing or the optics of this.

The Left will count this as a major victory. I can see them gloating over it now.

The old saw "Be careful what you wish for..." comes to mind.

The woman who harassed Pruitt at a restaurant recently must feel real good about herself.

She's probably having a victory party with her friends. Don't project conservative values onto liberals: they have no shame.

Pruitt did himself no favors when she approached him. He continued to sit at his little table and shrunk into himself, peeking up at her like a little boy being scolded by mommy or a teacher. In the first place, a gentleman stands when a lady is standing. She was standing and holding her toddler and invading his space. If he had stood up and looked down at her from his greater height, he could have made her step back unconsciously. If he had invited her to sit down to chat with him, or had given her a phone number for her make an appointment to talk, so that he could finish his lunch in peace, he might have defused the situation. He might have leveled the playing field via assertive but not aggressive body language. By cringing there, he surrendered. Publicly.

Sounds like in the end he didn’t have the stomach for the fight.

Yep. See post 36.

Perry said he believes in man made global warming. No and no!

It's not believing in made-made global warming that's the problem

The problem is believing that A.) it's catastrophic and B.) the only solution is to bankrupt our economy with regulations and wealth transfer.

Conservatives botched the message with their denials. From the beginning the answer to the question of made-made global warming should always have been, "Yeah, so what?"
