A Republican congressional candidate is bucking her party over how to pay for President Donald Trump's long-sought border wall.

Irina Baroness Von Behr, who is running for the open seat in Arizona's 9th Congressional District, said Friday that taxpayers shouldn't be forced to foot the bill.

She's devised a self-described "out of the box" solution that she says will give Americans a choice. Hold a lottery.

Lotteries are TAXES on the poor and stupid.

Why not instead levy additional charges on remittances to Mexico..?

Such remittances rank 2nd only to OIL for Mexico’s national income.

Another idea:

You get caught by BP..?

You go to work camp:

You work off the costs of...

1. Imprisonment
2. Capture
3. WALL FEE

And don’t let it pay out unless you provide proof of legal US citizenship.

taxpayers shouldn't be forced to foot the bill.

We're forced to pay for supporting all those illegal alien scofflaws. Tax them, a hefty tax on any U.S. money sent south across the border to their families. Fine them, a hefty fine for being here illegally, for working illegally, and for breaking our laws. Garnish illegal wages. Make it hurt to the point they won't want to come illegally. Meanwhile, get the money from them, they are criminals.

Tell me about it. While I have bought very few lottery tickets in my life for a while, just for fun, I had used the idea of bias — which is actually real — and a few other similar tricks (most machines do not stir adequately in pair bring drawn is one example) to construct and maintain a wheel of 45 tickets that had I been actually buying tickets, at a price of $45 a play, would have over time only lost me something like $5 for every $6 spent.

I considered that a remarkable performance ... and yet I might as well have been burning money were I actually buying tickets.

As you may have heard it said: lotteries are taxes on those who don’t understand math ... but they’d be a tax on anyone who does as well.

Cripes...
Casinos were promoted by the politicians as the solution to school funding in Illinois.
The politicians knew perfectly well Illinois constitution doesn’t allow set asides.
The schools are still broken but now the state owes the teachers pension funds billions on money it borrowed from them.

However, I am sure this time, the money will be used to only build the wall and Lucy will not pull away the football.

No, lotteries are not taxes. Lotteries are a VOLUNTARY means of separating fools from their money.

Haven’t I been reading that building the wall would cost $120 per household.

I’m more than happy to pay for five households. Much surer than a lottery.

Just bite the leather strap and pay for the dang wall- The wall will cost approx $25 billion- Illegals are costing htis country between $400 BILLION DOLLARS and $600 BILLION DOLLARS per year- How is it that we can afford to keep paying out $600 BILLION DOLLARS per year because of illegals, but we just can’t find a mere $25 billion for the wall which will be just a one time fee?
