Best option is to move from the leftist dictatorial New York State to a free state.
New York authorities have made sure that in general only the elite and well connected can carry a pistol to protect themselves from the animals among us.
In NY City you can't even legally own a BB gun without a permit.
It's difficult for an average person to get a permit to even purchase a pistol in New York - and almost impossible in the NY City counties.
If granted a permit to purchase you must then register the pistol.
Then you need to request a separate conceal carry permit which is even more difficult for the average person to obtain.
Carry permits are issued on a "May Issue" basis so the authorities don't need a reason to refuse issuance.
Owning a pistol or carrying a pistol without a permit is a felony.
NY authorities even refused their own National Guard permission to carry firearms when called up in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Never mind BB guns - pepper spray in NYC is regulated (not outright illegal anymore). To buy it there, you must basically register.
I live in NJ, which isn’t gun-friendly - but these attacks rarely happen here because there is little interaction between these groups (and even less on mass transit). Eventually the wealthy whites will bring in another garbage man like Giuliani or Bloomberg to make NYC safe again; I guess we’ll just have to wait until wealthy people are attacked by the bipedal hyenas.
