North Korea has not stopped its nuclear and missile programmes in violation of United Nations sanctions, according to a confidential UN report seen by Reuters on Friday (Aug 3).

The six-month report by independent experts monitoring the implementation of UN sanctions was submitted to the Security Council North Korea sanctions committee late on Friday.

As it is, the ship-to-ship transfers (China and South Korea involved, captured by satellite and Japanese aerial monitoring), as well as shipments of goods and materials into NK from China by rail and ship, and the activities of China and Russia (rail and ship) are all growing in nature and becoming a major problem. As it is, North Korea has not given up a damned thing, and missile and nuke programs continue at a number of sites around DPRK, independent of several sites undergoing decommissioning or destruction primarily for show. Here is another angle, another loophole you can drive a truck through, that they are exploiting now that the policy of maximum pressure is off replaced by detente and pleasantries. But at least Pompeo appears to be hep to it (today):

Problem with this story is I’d have to take Reuters, the UN, meticulously-unnamed, allegedly “independent”, alleged “experts”, and an “unnamed country” at their word - and all of these have been the source of flat-out lies in the past.
