Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday he still wants to have Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmed and sitting on the Supreme Court by the start of the new term in October.
That is an aggressive schedule that means senators would hold a final vote well before all of the documents theyve requested about his background would be released to the public by the National Archives

Hell get confirmed. It wont be a landslide, but hell get confirmed, the senator said.

Ill take it. We now have the votes but play your rino game.
The GOP has to force the vote before the election.
Red state Democrats will either vote to confirm or get booted.
Win either way.
Can they please next vote to remove McTuttle as the Majority Leader?
How exactly is waiting until October considered “speedy”? Should have been done weeks ago. McConnell is, was and always will be a RINO.
May the Mainstream Press show no mercy on this to the Democratic candidates this fall.
Now!
Support Free Republic, Folks!
I know McConnell gets much well deserved criticism but he knows how the Senate works. Hope he’s right on this action.
Amen...He carried through on his promise on Garland and I believe he will on Kavanaugh also.
As long as his “price” is paid, as in certain chinese products imported by he and his wife/beard is exempt from tariffs.
“That is an aggressive schedule ...”
Three months is aggressive for these punters.
LOL
This guy is blind as a bat.
McConnell’s wife must be happy at Transportation.

hearings and votes in September, ready to sit October 1st the first day of new court session.
“that means senators would hold a final vote well before all of the documents theyve requested about his background”
well, duh. if infinite document requests could hold up a SCOTUS vote indefinitely, then the Dems would just keep “requesting” documents til’ doomsday ...
FWIW, there is a poll at the Wash Times with this article:
Is there a ‘red wave’ coming in the 2018 midterm elections?
Yes 830 (65%)
No 302 (24%)
Not sure 152 (12%)
Interesting...
They couldn't bring themselves to read the 20,000 pages of obamacare, but now want to "examine" Kavanaugh's thousands of emails?
That would be excellent. Turtle Power!
