Wednesday morning, after the Ohio 12th Congressional District election went to Republican Troy Balderson in a squeaker, President Trump tweeted, As long as I campaign and/or support Senate and House candidates (within reason), they will win. we will have a giant Red Wave!
The truth is, unless the president shapes up before November, the GOP may be waving goodbye to a majority in the House of Representatives.
Despite some cheerleading from the true believers, Tuesday was not a good day for the GOP. In 2016, Trump carried the 12th District by 11 points. In Tuesdays special election, Balderson defeated his Democratic opponent, Danny OConnor by less than 1 percent, or about 1,500 votes.

Instead of the flower children of the 60s, their contemporary counterparts in youth culture are the Antifa, who use violence to quell speech they dont approve of.
Though a Red Wave seems like a long shot, if anyone has proven that they can make the impossible possible in modern politics, its Donald J. Trump. Get on the plane, Mr President. Talk to the people.
And they'll keep repeating that and convince themselves just like Hillary was going to win with 1000 electoral votes!
Trump needs to visit California and campaign for Cox as governor.
How many did the Socialists win?
President Trump has said he will be campaigning in 30 rallies between now and November. He is going to be on the road.
This is to energize the demoncrats, because NO conservative reads the Boston rag.
President Trump was right, he carried a Bush League Republican that would have lost across the finish line.
The GOP has to straighten up and get on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
Just an R jersey will not get them elected.
In the Ohio special election it was the in the middle of vacation (not 8 years of "staycation" with Obama) season, most people didn't even know about the election and there is another election in November. None of this is spoken of by the naysayers...
I don't know why people insist on using this metric to gauge a special election result in 2018.
Republican Pat Tiberi won this House race by 37 points in 2016. Why is it Trump's fault that Balderson won by less than 1% in 2018?
Just got a tip President Trump will campaign for Senate candidate Patrick Morrisey in WV Real Soon Now.
No time right now for me to get the details.
Didn’t the republicans win all the elections? And that is losing?
How many did the Socialists win?
Only the increasing crazy faux reporters/writers would say that Trump lost. That is evidence that their TDS has totally warped their brains.
“President Trump has said he will be campaigning in 30 rallies between now and November. He is going to be on the road”
The man is tireless. It’s the same way he beat the beast
Concur with frogjerk! I have voted in EVERY presidential election, seldom in mid-terms. My bad! But did vote early in Florida this year.
I know! It's obvious he can't just stay home and tweet the way he did on 2016.
“I know! It’s obvious he can’t just stay home and tweet the way he did on 2016.”
Did you actually read that nonsense before you pressed the Post button?
Except for Pennsylvania 18th, California 34th, and the Alabama Senate seat.
I did, and it is a textbook example of sarcasm.
Good afternoon.
“How many did the Socialists win? “
For the record: zero.
Like 0bama.

Trump will go on the road after Labor Day and say some pretty hyperbolic things.
Then the Dems will amp it up and say some extraordinarily idiotic things...
