Paul Welch came to the downtown protest Aug. 4 to let his political leanings be known.
With pride he clutched his U.S. flag as he moved among the crowd of like-thinking demonstrators.
Soon a group of black-clad anti-fascist protesters, also known as antifa, demanded he lose the flag, calling it a fascist symbol. Welch refused, and a tug-of-war ensued.
It ended with Welch taking a club to the back of the head, lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood.
Only Welch was not a Proud Boy, a Patriot Prayer supporter or among the other conservative activists who descended into the area that day, many from out of town.
He was one of hundreds of progressive Portlanders who had turned out to oppose the right-wing rally held at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park.

AntiFa must be annihilated.
I notice they don’t seem very active in Concealed Carry / Stand Your Ground states.

I’d say he is suffering from a severe case of cognitive dissonance, but as another Freeper (sorry, cannot remember who) said on another thread, that cannot be the case because he lacks cognizance.
..... Stupid idiot should have known that ANTIFA only acknowledges the TRUE symbols of freedom like the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche and the flags of the Great Peaceful Freedom Loving Communist nations of history and this world.
I’m sure he’ll blame the flag.
Common tactic used by the anarchists...keep the victims attention focused forward and a brave warrior sneaks up from behind and clubs him in the head.

The US flag is a fascist symbol. I guarantee Mussolini the father of fascism would be really surprised about that.
It should be open season on anybody wearing a mask while attacking another person.
No daily or possession limit.
It is where many of us live. Probably not in Portland.
You’ll notice that the ‘club’ flexes and looks like an umbrella.
It has a large, heavy chunk of metal, maybe a hexagonal nut, concealed at its end. The ‘brave warrior’ whips the end of it striking the flag owner on the head with far more force than it appears.
Portland officials are helping antifa. If they weren’t, they would force them to remove their masks or be arrested.
What a maroon.
They never show up in MI, every non-felon 21+ can open carry here, no permits required.
Concealed carry permits are ‘shall issue’ in MI, meaning every non-felon can get one after taking a 8hr class.
Yet again, imagine the national attention if these were some of those Intolerant, Dangerous Trump Supporters.
CAIR and the Communist/Socialist Party are supporters of Antifa, filing legal action on their behalf in Portland.
The clue should be declaring the US Flag a “fascist” symbol.
Time for JD to go after the heads of said organizations - and anyone who identifies with them including politicians - and work their way down.
There should be no communists in America. Or Islamic radicals bent on disrupting American society. And that goes for LaRaza-theRace, too
