ury in Paul Manafort financial fraud trial says it's reached a verdict on 8 counts, but remains undecided on 10 others.

The jury in the financial fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort suggested to the judge Tuesday that it was stuck on at least one count in the case.

Jurors asked U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III on their fourth day of deliberations how they should fill out the verdict form if they were unable to reach consensus on a single count, though they did not suggest what charge was at issue. The jury of six men and six women also said it would need a new verdict form.

“A House panel on Tuesday found Representative Charles B. Rangel guilty of 11 counts of ethical violations, ruling that his failure to pay some taxes, improper solicitation of charitable donations and failure to accurately report his personal income had brought dishonor on the House.”

What would be the doubt? A person whose majoring in nursing and taking Accounting 101 as an elective would notice $16 million missing from the balance sheet in there first week of class. The bank fraud is backed by piles of documents. How do you create reasonable doubt against empirical evidence?

“Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my next witness is Dr. Doubt who will prove that your eyes are lying, reality does not exist, and Manafort is innocent”.

This is one of the key reasons for all these various attacks. Who is going to want to work for the Trump campaign next time, knowing everyone will be constant targets?

That’s only the first step.
Then they’ll target anyone who wants to work for his administration - oops, wait. They already have.
THEN they’ll target anyone who attends his rallies and supports him - oh, wait, they’ve done that, TOO.

Okay, then. Nice little mini Civil War they’ve started. So when does OUR side get to play? THEY topple statues, have some puke federal “judges” get in the way of everything Trump wants to do, have some bogus prosecutor go after anyone Trump has ever known for anything they’ve ever done - and OUR side does... well, a handful of Congressmen occasionally complain on TV and wave their fists in the air.

That’s not going to win for us.
I’m feeling very discouraged today. Good thing Trump’s having a rally tonight - I hope he addresses all this.

I don’t see how a tax fraud in 2005 can be prosecuted in 2018.

The five counts of tax evasion Manifort was convicted of were for 2010-2014, inclusive. The statute of limitations for tax evasion is 6 years, running (usually) from the date the tax return is filed (so the statute of limitations for 2010 started running in 2011).

As one leading Democrat put it: “Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter.”

That Democrat was then-Sen. Tom Daschle in 1998. The same Tom Daschle, we’ve since learned, who failed to pay more than $100,000 in back taxes for perks he received as one of Washington’s most relentless influence-peddlers — that is, until he realized he might receive a job in the Obama administration spending the money most Americans conscientiously send to Washington

“Trump has been in denial about the seriousness of the plot against him.”

Trump’s idiot lawyers certainly were...Treating Muller’s coup as some legitimate legal inquiry.

I knew from the second the special counsel was appointed what these bastards were up to.

What do you think really happened today ?

Manafort is found guilty of shady shit he did before Trump even knew him, remember Trump fired him after the nomination. Other counts were a mistrial.

Mike Flynn sentencing postponed for the third time.

Michael Cohen pleads guilty to financial fraud, tax evasion all not involving Trump and Mueller isn’t even involved in the Cohen case (Southern District of NY), and maybe excessive campaign donation which amounts to a fine and repaying the money.

Thank you, Jeff Sessions

Sessions is a Never Trumper who fooled President Trump and many of us. Trump now feels he is stuck with him, because the Liberal Media will scream "Saturday Night Massacre" if Sessions is fired. President Trump needs to get over that feeling. Sessions needs to go.

"This is a victory for Manafort. And for Trump."

Sorry, I just don't see it.

There's a very disturbing pattern in play here.

While it seems the "good guys" are perpetually crossing fingers, rationalizing and silver lining-seeking (not to mention watching political brethren resigning or going to jail), the likes of Hillary, her husband, Obama, Rangel, Sharpton et al continue to pop the champagne, enjoy their celebrity and pad their bank accounts.

If it sounds like today's events have left me despondent, it's because I am.
