Yet by rooting for Manafort to be judged not guilty, folks here are basically making it about Trump. They are playing right into the hands of the Trump haters.
Jurors have to file tax returns. They understand that Manafort needed to do that as well. If the evidence shows that he cheated on his taxes, then it probably wasn’t hard to find guilty on 5 counts.
Who determines the sentence... judge or jury?
This is a victory for Manafort. And for Trump.

Mueller had unlimited resources, all the money he needed, the best Hillary lawyers anywhere.
And he could not win this case.

I wanted to see him found either not guilty or hung jury on all or all but one minor count and the judge to let him go free for time served. Oh well.
Criminal level tax fraud: needs to be some jail time. Back taxes and interest and penalties go without saying.
