So it took a special counsel to do the job of a entry level IRS agent?

Colossal waste of time & taxpayer money.

Bastards.

Obama and Hillary sell uranium to our enemies and nothin is done.

Manafort is lazy in doing his tax returns and they send him to the slammer.

Please pardon this great patriot Mr President ! This is a politically witch hunt and we all know it

None of these charges have anything to do with Trump.

Yet by rooting for Manafort to be judged not guilty, folks here are basically making it about Trump. They are playing right into the hands of the Trump haters.

Jurors have to file tax returns. They understand that Manafort needed to do that as well. If the evidence shows that he cheated on his taxes, then it probably wasn’t hard to find guilty on 5 counts.

This is a victory for Manafort. And for Trump.

Mueller threw his best at Manafort. And this is the result?

Mueller had unlimited resources, all the money he needed, the best Hillary lawyers anywhere.

And he could not win this case.

Multiple indictments against Trump associates, now multiple guilty pleas and guilty verdicts and yet, not one leftist criminal so much as charged. This is NOT 4D chess. This is the left, as usual, walking all over the right and the right not doing a damned thing. I really don’t care to vote in November. I don’t even care if the GOP loses the House or Senate. Same enemies, and nothing will be done about any of them.

I wasn't on the jury, so I don't know the evidence.

I am just disappointed in the result. “....Manafort was convicted on five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts and two counts of bank fraud. A mistrial was declared in three counts of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, and seven counts of bank fraud and bank fraud conspiracy......”

I wanted to see him found either not guilty or hung jury on all or all but one minor count and the judge to let him go free for time served. Oh well.

Criminal level tax fraud: needs to be some jail time. Back taxes and interest and penalties go without saying.

” In a statement to the Senate Finance Committee, (Timothy) Geithner called the tax issues “careless,” “avoidable,” and “unintentional” errors.[55] Geithner testified that he used the software TurboTax to prepare his 2001 and 2002 returns, but that the tax errors were his own responsibility.[57][58]

On January 26, 2009, the U.S. Senate confirmed Geithner’s appointment by a vote of 60–34.[59][60] Geithner was sworn in as Treasury Secretary by Vice President Joe Biden and witnessed by President Barack Obama”
