My opinion was meant for those who felt the need to denigrate the man when he is in the last stage of life. And, being taken by a horrible disease.
You and I have been afflicted with cancer and suffered the loss of close relatives too. My point to the snarky posters was let McCain go with dignity and peace.
Reasoning behind this, he never had one.

Keep a couple of beer mugs in the freezer in case I drop by.
Mumm’s, Veuve Cliquot or whatever - a cold Heineken in a frozen mug is easily a tie. Got bubbles, lasts longer, got a case vs a single bottle, after the guests leave you’ve got leftovers! ;-)
McCain was a bad pilot, became a hero as a POW, broke eventually, probably much longer than I would have lasted but as a Senator he defined the term RINO and as the “Go To” Republican representative along with Linda Graham (RINO-SC)he denigrated and devalued the American conservative principles for years and years.
Why he hasn’t resigned is beyond me except for the stated reasons above. Time to go Mr. McCain. IMHO.

I understand. I honestly hadn’t even read those snarky posts. I’ve come to understand that that’s just how things are on FR, so I usually try to find someone I can relate to and comment. Or just move on, which is often the best thing to do — even if I don’t always practice that. ;)

I figure the family has been doing the “Weekend At Bernie’s” thing for about three months now, or he’s been stashed in some meat locker or walk-in beer cooler for that long. For some reason, the family believed this was the best time to out his death.
