Immigrants living in California without full legal status could serve in some appointed offices under a bill the state Senate sent Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday.

The measure, passed by the Senate 26-11, would let people over 18 who lack authorization to live in the country be appointed to boards and commissions.

Sen. Ricardo Lara, who authored the bill, says it would overturn laws designed to exclude immigrants from civic life.

And you’ll go to jail for violating rules and regs created by illegals! Un-effing believable.

Stuff like this is why I’m writing to you from the Idaho panhandle, not Silicon Valley any more.

Illegal immigrants have no Constitutional rights. Immigrants that are citizens should.

What laws exclude immigrants from Civic life?

Immigrants are fully engaged in Civic life assuming that they are American citizens.

Immigrants can serve in any capacity in Civic life, assuming they are American citizens.

This law and the justification behind it is mixing and matching the issues of legal immigration and illegal aliens. The liberals do this all the time and we should call them out on it. I would love to see a court challenge to this law because of the alleged justification for it being completely nonsensical.

Start with a raffle for illegals ONLY to be governor - whoever wins the raffle gets to rule their friends and relatives as everyone else will have left the state. Have fun, folks. NOW who supports you?

I got away to a "red" mountain state 3 years ago, almost any other "red" states would have also been just fine.

I do not derive any pleasure from the pain that the Cali legislature inflicts on their peeps; I do feel that my decision to move is continually and continuously validated, however.

I think this is a case of “cut off your nose to spite your face”, where the face is Trump’s America. So even if this causes pain, the overall payoff of undercutting US immigration laws is worth the price for California Dems...

"And I as a citizen of California and the United States will ignore any rule, restriction or law that these boards may create."

Note that just as the Founding States made the first numbered constitutional clauses, Section 1-3 of Article I of the federal constitution to clarify that all federal legislative powers are vested only in the elected members of Congress, the California constitution has a similar clause.

California Constitution Article V Legislative, Sec. 1.

The legislative power of this State is vested in the California Legislature which consists of the Senate and Assembly, but the people reserve to themselves the powers of initiative and referendum."

The problem is that just like corrupt career federal lawmakers wrongly let non-elected federal bureaucrats in all branches of the federal government get away with stealing and exercising “federal” legislative powers, arguably stolen state powers, to protect their voting records, corrupt career state lawmakers undoubtedly let non-elected state bureaucrats do the same thing to protect their voting records.

And when career federal and state lawmakers protect their voting records by allowing non-elected bureaucrats to make regulations that citizens must comply with, then such lawmakers are wrongly nullifying the voting power of the people imo, despite express constitutional safeguards against this.

But also note that this voting nullification problem is extensive even without the proposed “help” of illegal aliens being able to exercise government power to tell citizens what to do.

Patriots need to elect new, Trump-supporting patriot lawmakers in the 2018 midterms who will take full responsibility for how they exercise legislative powers.

They complain incessantly about social media posts by Russians and then hand government offices to foreigners with no right to be in the country.

If this is allowed to continue, the country will die a horrible death. A civil war would not even save it.

It’s the supreme irony, isn’t it? Years of complaining about foreign influence over our elections then happily and voluntarily hand over public offices to illegals.
