Dang the news yesterday was he was discontinuing treatment for brain cancer, I’m guessing the “treatment” was the life support machine that had been keeping him alive for the last couple months.

Indeed. The fact that they waited until the eve of the August 28th primary to remove life support means Governor Ducey will not have to name a successor until after a Tuesday’s primary. And that does not bode well for us.

Conservative voter goes in McCain’s office on Monday and asks to see John McCain, the staff member tells the voter that Senator McCain has passed away. The voter just stands there for a few minutes then leaves.
The next morning the same voter is back and asks to talk to Senator McCain. The staffer tells the voter that McCain is dead, he died of brain cancer. The voter just stands there for a few minutes then leaves.
Wednesday morning the voter is back again and asks, with a big smile on his face, I’d like to talk to John McCain. By now the staffer has lost patience, and says McCain is dead, he is toast, he is never coming back, and then proceeds to ask the voter why he keep coming into the office and asking to talk to McCain if he knows McCain is dead.
The voter has a big smile on his face and says he just likes hearing the words ‘McCain is dead!’.
I’m rubbing salt in my eyes but tears still won’t come!

As others have noted, it’s likely revocation of life support rather than ending chemo”therapy” or the like.
For all his jackassery over the years, I can never forgive him for his role in floating that phony DNC dossier on President Trump when he was a candidate. Condolences to his family but I am glad he is no longer senator John McCain.

English does not have the right phonemes to express my thoughts, so I will simplify: To my shame, I came to despise McCain. (It is shameful to despise any sentience, even those we must battle.) But I hope he found a way to God and His forgiveness. I also pray for his family.
