Like that wasn't obvious from looking at his eyes.
He was an anti-Trump resister! Prognosis? TDS!
Also, the meds only work if they take ‘em.
Good info in the article.
“....In recent weeks, Katz legally purchased the two handguns he carried from a gun store in Baltimore, the sheriff said....”
Unbelievable in the gun hating peoples republic! He was a nutcake. How does he qualify?
I would like to know if he had been taking any antidepressants recently, and stopped without tapering the doses a few days before. His actions are consistent with a sudden discontinuation.
While antidepressants have been found effective in adults when taken as directed, I’ve always had reservations about their use in adolescents. The adolescent brain is only half-formed, and I’m not sure we really understand the long term effects on brain chemistry of psychotropic medications at ages under 20.
What?
You mean it’s not the NRA’s fault?
Calling all Hoggs
Pig Sooey!
If he was INSANE he should have FAILED the background check. And since it was a gun-free zone, his victims should be declared still legally ALIVE!
He fit right in, that’s how
“Legally”?
How does someone “hospitalized for mental illness” legally purchase handguns? Why wouldn’t background checks catch this and disqualify him?
LEGALLY purchased? In Maryland?
Only if a LOT of information was falsified or simply not supplied in the application. Because NOBODY just walks into a gun store in Maryland and buys any kind of firearm.
By the way, piss OFF the LEFTIST Censors. They are all FREE, so download all 10 or so!

I believe this man was 24 years old if I’m not mistaken.
There is a national registry for convicted felons but not for crazy people. While we all have reservations about the Soviet system of declaring political opponents “insane,” we need to do something about truly crazy people getting guns or eventually they will take guns away from all of us.
We need a system that contains a national database people disqualified to possess guns due to mental illness, and has strong due process protections before someone is put on it. It’s a contrast to the convicted felons, as those people got their due process before being convicted of their crimes.
His eyes look like two festered a$$h*les and no one noticed he acted kinda weird. Not the All American Jack Armstrong image of yesteryear. What is wrong with people...
Who would enter that info into NICS? And what are the parameters for doing so?
Yes, he’s 24. And that’s the point. The administration of antidepressants and psychotropics during adolescence may have effects on brain chemistry that are not manifested until full brain development takes place. Which happens around age 24.
Fixed that for ya. :)
