The phrase lion of the senate nowadays makes me think of 1 Peter 5:8.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
Little too much similarity in character alluded to there.

I get it.
Kennedy and McCain died of the same thing on the same calendar day nine years apart -- with a long period of public preparation before they passed on.
Now strain all that through the "eerie" John F. Kennedy-Abraham Lincoln similarities people talked about fifty years ago and you can see where Mitch is coming from.

At least you knew what you were getting with fat Ted. McStain pretended to be something he wasn’t. That’s much worse.

Kennedy colluded with the Soviet Union to try to undermine the reelection campaign of a sitting president.
In 1980 he sent fellow traveler and former California U.S Senator John Tunney and others to undermine Carter.
In 1984 he did the same thing to try and undermine Reagan.
Now that is Collusion.

They were. Both traitors, both media darlings! Both habitual liars. Both hated by the public....except for the morons in the states that keep reelecting them. And neither of them missed now that they are gone.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said at a press briefing on Tuesday that Sen. Ted Kennedys career was eerily similar to Sen. John McCains.
What was the name of the young woman that McCain left to drown in his car?
