ESPN personality Jemele Hill announced she would be leaving the company Friday.
Hill's was an anchor for "Sportscenter," the network's signature program, before going to work with company website The Undefeated in January.
Hill's departure came after she was briefly suspended last year for messages she posted on social media, including one calling President Donald Trump a "white supremacist."
At the time, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Hill's comments were a "fireable offense."
Trump also criticized her last year, saying she was the reason the network ratings "tanked."
She announced her decision on her Twitter, mentioning that ESPN was the place where she "became the best version of herself, both personally and professionally."
Now that the controversy died down it's safe to get rid of her.
If ESPN were smart they would have just buried her in the inevitable next round of cuts.
She describes her days at ESPN as her best.
I don’t know her, but if she says so. This is what she did during her best days.
What a jackass.
I hope the door hits her on the way out.
She got the Boot!
I wonder how much money ESPN, or someone, paid her to go away quietly...
Note to Ms. Hill: So much for principle.
I wonder if Kavanaugh attacked her and made her feel distress?
The rare tweet that was actually funny instead of activism.
She'll end up on another channel, guaranteed.
These people keep crying wolf and soon no one will pay attention. Personally, I believe that point is long past. I wonder what evidence she has of white supremacy? Certainly Robert Byrd was a honcho in the KKK and obviously a white supremacist. Sameo for Hitlery who considered Byrd her mentor. But they just keep on beating that drum. Sad.
yes, repairing the Obama-destroyed so that black people can get jobs......is a sure sign of white supremicism
Ms. Hill is a black supremacist.
What did she do? Never heard of her.
Next stop: MSNBC.
Black privilege. The ability to act like an idiot without being called an idiot. The ability to call everyone who is White racist, while never being called on the racism inherent in that action. The ability to get high paying jobs for which one is not suited, and then to use that job to harass the people who were prevented from getting that job by you.
Just wondering if she was gonna land one of those lucrative social justice positions created from the $90M the NFL owners just laid out. (It’s the cynic in me, I guess)
Is this the guy that was fired for plagiarism?
