Kavanaugh hires attorney amid sexual assault allegations: report
The Hill ^ | September 17, 2018 | MICHAEL BURKE

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has hired an attorney amid fresh allegations of sexual misconduct while he was in high school, according to CNN.

Citing multiple sources, CNN reported that Kavanaugh has hired Beth Wilkinson, a founding partner of Wilkinson Walsh + Eskovitz, a trial and litigation law firm in Washington, D.C.

Wilkinson represents clients before the Department of Justice, Congress and other government agencies, according to her bio page. Kavanaugh said Monday that he is willing to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee against Christine Blasey Ford, the woman bringing the allegation forward.

Wilkinson did not immediately return a phone call from The Hill requesting comment.

In addition to her career as a defense lawyer, Wilkinson is also known for successfully prosecuting Oklahoma City bombers Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols for their roles in the April 1995 bombing that left 168 people dead.

Good, hopefully they weren’t taken by surprise and were prepared to take the gloves off whatever the Dems threw at them.

I think he’s going to give her a chance to backtrack her story but if this succeeds and he fails the nomination (I can’t see it happening), then I think he’ll turn the lawyer loose on her and she’ll eventually realize that without any evidence to back her talk up...then she’s got problems.

This is the same problem with the gals in the Alabama deal and dealing with Judge Moore. I think his case is still proceeding on and they will eventually have to negotiate with him and his lawyer.

This is a good move. When pressed for details, facts and evidence, the game will change in Kavenaugh’s favor.

I hope that once he’s confirmed he never forgets or forgives the viscous attacks by the Democrats.

Beth Wilkenson, aka Mrs. David Gregory, is a big gun.

https://www.politico.com/story/2016/04/hillary-clinton-fbi-strategy-emails-221435

Four of Hillary Clinton’s closest aides appear to have adopted an unusual legal strategy, hiring the same ex-Justice Department attorney to represent them in the FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s private email server.

Beth Wilkinson, a well-connected former assistant U.S. attorney best known for prosecuting Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, is listed as representing three of Clinton’s top State Department staffers, according to a congressional letter obtained by POLITICO and dated Feb. 10. A fourth Clinton aide, Philippe Reines, is also represented by Wilkinson, according to sources familiar with their representation.

The united front suggests they plan to tell investigators the same story — although legal experts say the joint strategy presents its own risks, should the interests of the four aides begin to diverge as the probe moves ahead.

The quartet includes Clinton’s former chief of staff Cheryl Mills, who counseled Clinton politically and legally; deputy chief of staff Jake Sullivan, whom sources say authored a number of emails to Clinton that are now considered “top secret”; Heather Samuelson, Mills’ deputy who initially sorted Clinton’s work-related emails from personal messages that were then deleted; and Reines, who served as Clinton’s spokesman and also used personal email for work purposes at State.

Some on this thread are speculating that he’s hiring this attorney to sue. From the article it seems that he’s hiring her to represent him as an advisor to go back to the Senate judiciary community with possible criminal allegations hanging over him. I know it’s from 36 years ago and so the statue of limitations are probably up, but you know how this works, lying under oath or what the committee decides is lying under oath.

I hope he is hiring her for a civil lawsuit. The only way this crap stops (accusing someone of rape to damage their reputation) is by suing them into bankruptcy. It’s the only thing these reprobates understand...

He hired David Gregory’s wife??? I sure hope she is evenhanded, after representing Dems forever.

I’m betting that there is another well-compensated bimbo coming forward in the next 3 days, with the story that he actually raped a woman in college.
I’ll bet on it.

Two false claims do not equal 1 valid claim.
Two million false claims do not equal 1 valid claim.

Beth Wilkinson is the wife of CNN / David Gregory .

Lawyer Beth Wilkinson is also representing: Clinton former chief of staff Cheryl Mills; policy adviser Jake Sullivan; media gatekeeper Philippe Reines; and former aide Heather Samuelson, who helped decide which Clinton emails were destroyed before turning over the remaining 30,000 records to the State Department.
