The woman who has accused Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh of sexual assault has told the Senate Judiciary Committee, in an apparent bid to jump-start negotiations, that she “would be prepared to testify next week,” so long as senators offer “terms that are fair and which ensure her safety,” according to an email her lawyers sent to committee staff members.
In the email, obtained by The New York Times, the lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford said that testifying Monday — the timetable Republicans have set for a hearing — “is not possible and the Committee’s insistence that it occur then is arbitrary in any event.” The lawyer reiterated that it is Dr. Blasey’s “strong preference” that “a full investigation” occur before her testimony — wording that stopped short of demanding an F.B.I. probe and suggested she is open to testifying without one.

There really isn’t anything to negotiate. She either remembers, or not. She can testify Monday - 3 months after she wrote her letter - or not. She isn’t Queen Elizabeth!
Well, she still has time to formally confirm by 10 a.m. Eastern tomorrow, then be at the capitol building on Monday. Maybe she wants a ride from the airport? Special brand of water at the table?
It’s a delaying tactic. She’ll keep saying she’ll consider testifying and find an excuse not to.
Don’t the Republicans have the vote without Mike Pence if they need a tie breaking vote?

If repubs let her keep this up past Monday they might as well withdraw the nomination. This women has no evidence and the incident is pure fiction.

She is being briefed by her lawyers. That is the reason for the delay. Also learning at which point to turn on the tears. Academy Awards in the works.

They know that a new meeting must be made a week in advance, which is why, on Monday, Grassley scheduled one for the following Monday.
Now she’s saying she doesn’t want to come on Monday...for the sole purpose of delaying for another week.
You have till ten oclock tomorrow morning to decide if you’re coming on Monday. If not, report the nominee out of committee.

Full Investigation to be done by _______???
Who has the resources to do that other than the FBI?
And why should we divert FBI resources given that:
1) Kavanaugh has already been investigated and vetted by the FBI 6 times before.
2) Why spend time and money away from the important task of protecting us from terrorists and the like to investigate something that may or may not happen 36 years ago?
Will the Dem Senators use the hearing to try to set a perjury trap for Kavanaugh? They may even realize that they are very stupid and have their counsel ask the questions for them. They did this in some of the Clinton Chinese funny money hearings.
Monday or nothing. That’s it. No “negotiation.”
