The info that’s coming out about her past from the yearbook and elsewhere is scaring the Democrats. Time is not on their side; that’s why they’re now dangling “a start to negotiations.”

Ford had 36 years to complain to someone about what allegedly happened between 2 adolescents which has little relevance to who they are today particularly if there is no history of the charged adolescent committing such acts as an adult. She chose not to complain until it served her personal political purposes. Would she be doing this if it were a liberal judicial nominee? I suspect if she said “yes” she would be lying.

2. Even if true--however unlikely--it would be no reason to refuse confirmation. A drunken misdemeanor by a teenager 36 years ago, hardly provides a reason to ignore the whole adult life of a distinguished jurist.
3. While without any confirmation of the truth of the accusation, there is a considerable body of evidence that refutes the reliability of the accuser's claim.
This should be filed in the "Theater of the Absurd." Too much of the Senate's time has already been wasted.
