Why ?
Because they are courting the US for a NATO Base in their country and they are a former Eastern Bloc nation, they should know better than to try to mess up their connection with the US.

But Trump has certainly change that meme in the United States. America has given “lip service” to Israel in nearly all the past administrations without really doing much of anything except talking a good story. I believe Trump will work effectively to get some sort of peace agreement done. But I don’t think an agreement with a group of $hit people like the palestinians is going to be worth the paper it’s written on. The real question comes down to just how long the world will tolerate their constant killing of Jews without any real push back. The “agreement” needs to spell out in detail what will happen if there is any further violence.
