Committee meetings must be scheduled at least one week in advance. It would have to be next Friday or on Monday Oct 1st. Then the Committee would need a meeting to vote and then on to the floor. Who really believes the Dems and media will not raise holy hell after the testimony to further delay the process?

The committee should not ascend to unreasonable terms and permit further delays. But these republican cowards will allow grandstanding that looks bad for anything Trump.
1. Thursday, not Monday. Only if a satisfactory excuse is provided for why Monday is unacceptable (and Tuesday and Wednesday).
2. Kavanaugh testifies first. No, that is a non-starter.
3. Kavanaugh not in room. We can accept that.

From the very start this has been an obvious political hit job. The fact that the repubs have taken this seriously instead of ramming a vote through is disgusting. Even now you can bet they are collecting more women willing to make fake claims that will ultimately sink this nominee. The response to this smear should be OUTRAGE and anger but the repubs show no emotion at all.

If the hearing is on Thursday, the senate won’t have time to confirm before the Supreme Court reconvenes on Monday, October 1st. The dems are so petty they want to deny Trump and Kavanaugh that honor.
Grassely and Republicans should tell Ford that she should call on Diane Feinstein and the Democrats to ask the Soros funded groups to stay home so she doesn't feel threatened.
